i bought the S3 last sat 07/14/12. its really an amazing phone, despite of their complains of the battery... the specs are great.. if you have complain with the battery, why not buy spare battery, and mobile charger.. since its a hightech gadget.. obviously it will consume the battery more than the normal phone.. lots of other choices can be use if you just know how to use them perfectly to your lovely gadget, if you can afford the unit, i bet buying of extra accessories for the unit wont do any harm to you... before purchasing, you already knew the weakness of the unit. so do not complain, if you start complaining about the unit, why not sell it... thanks

For those who complain about the battery life all you guys need to do is set your phone up correctly, I have the Nexus which has a smaller battery than the S3 so I baffled how some have worse battery life than my Nexus.

After using the device for 2 weeks, and receive the latest firmware update:
I have to say its battery life almost on par with samsung galaxy tab 7.7 (honycomb).
I used to hate touchwiz on my tab because its slow and buggy.. however in this device its very very smooth and responsive.
For once i do not need to root/modify as the phone is already good out of the box.
It has a notification light on the top left corner that blinks when u have new notification or low batt. (like blackberry)
The problem i have is.. the device is kinda big/slim and too light.. thus hard to grip.. most of the time require 2 hands and have a feeling its gonna fly off. A good casing to improve grip is a must for me.
The middle button is stiff, much like iphone 4's, but because of iphone 4's size and weight, its easy to press on iphone, luckily do not need to press it as much as iphone's.. i rely on the back/menu buttons more.
Highly worth buying if you are looking for a high end android phone.

hey guys, i m also using this phone and i must say this is better then nokia :) bcoz u can download and installed any apps on android not like nokia or blackberry where few apps are not supported like VOIPs softwares. etc and i love this phone its too awesome :)
guys i m planning to buy a sd card for my phone.. 32gb or 16gb? which one to get.. i will only have pics/movies/hd songs in sd card as there is no option of moving installed apps to sd card so for apps the card is useless :( and also i have found a web where u get all the paid apps/games to install them on your phone. but when i downloaded amazing alex hd and try to install it on my phone. i got this error..
"Install Blocked.. for security, your phone is set to block installation of applications not obtained from android market.." so pls tell me can i install apps which i dont download from apps market? and is it safe to download and installed apps which are not downloaded from apps market? and i dont have a rooted s3. so will it gonna works the apps? thanks :)

galaxy s3 improved battry better then galaxy note and it show us quad core is power saving aswel performance up..i using wifi aswel play game online..jus reduce 10% every 1 hour with using power saving..so galaxy s3 is one of hp that save batry also..

I found that my SGS3 is definitely faster than my HTC One X when I download Google Map. The search is faster, and the Street View is more clear. The Pac-Man moves more accurate too. I don't care pen-tile or whatever, for me, the GS3 Super Amoled screen is just nicer to look at!

its so silly that people who comment on this phone especially -ve comments dont even think twice about what they are posting, "any phone is as good as its user", if you are smart enough to use a smart phone then you will face fewer problems, if you are dumb then your smartphone will obviously turn not to be dumber than you.
before posting the comments about this phone or any smartphone for that matter, pls learn about the phone's hardware and software it has, how the whole thing works in a standard manner, for eg. phone memory, RAM, CPU power and most importantly HOW ANDROID WORKS AS AN OPERATING SYSTEM FOR A SMARTPHONE, without all the above, you guys are just jumping into conclusions or prejudging it because you dont know how to use it or you dont know about a thing that you bought!!
my opinion on SGS3 - the phone itself is fine, no problems at all....
if you have issues, post it as a question so that someone who has better understaning of the phone can answer instead of ruling the phone as bad piece of gadget.
SGS3 is a good phone if the user of it is also good...same concept goes along the lines "made for humans, inspired by nature" I have two more words for you guys - Think & Understand...

After one month only from purchased new S3 mobile my cup drop down in the mobile screen, 2cm only this is the distance needed to break the amazing screen!!!i am really surprised, it very bad quality. the problem that i open case with samsung but they easy reply we can't do anything >>>>>>

another battery problem. suppose u have charge 100 % phone. Phone is still continuing charging connect to charger and at the same time u are using internet or playing game, battery is reducing, Nokia is still the best in the battery
