It's possible that you are running an app that isn't compatable with Android v4.0.4. Uninstall any app that you have installed since the problem began.
As a last resort perform a Factory Reset...
Menu/Settings/Back up and reset/Factory data reset.

Ira, 11 Jul 2012I dont know why my s3 was hang and shut down then restart a... moreDear Ira, I had the same problem. I restore my s2 back to s3 and there was any apps which was creating problem. I formatted s3 again and transfer contact by importing exporting through memory card. Also please note this problem is not Samsung. It is ours that we download some wrong apps and that was not properly uninstall from mobile when we uninstall it. Just do hard reset and don't load any data. See problem persists.........

I dont know why my s3 was hang and shut down then restart again and again after 1 month i got it? I'm so sad cause brought it very expensive in malaysia. What should i do ?

snapdragon dual core has lte, exynos guadcore no lte..!!! they said lte regional..but now they use snapdragon for lte..it like samsung cheating by giving us little by little tweaks..!!! they are only copying, even their own cpu are not prepaired..samsung will never get any single penny from me again..now my s3 with poor signal, no lte capability , is design for cheating...

Galaxy S3 is a grate mobile i love this, though i was a fan of S2, but i admire S3
however someone can help me how to change the water droping sound from the mai keys???
i tried my best - it seems there is no other options.
any expert can help??

i hav galaxy s1 before, then s2 , next is note..now s3..after several fon from samsung, i cud say their fon is just a toy..weak signal, cpu not prepaired for lte, screen is exaggerated look fake,..they are not really ennovative..their processor is just for gaming, but not for matured use in lyf..i just amazed for some new features but i felt bored with it coz i realize its not what i wanted..now im planning to dispose my s3..now i see snapdragon is more planning for the future not exynos..waiting for a new device to come out..
