      3 days with S3 White

Design wise: not the best, HTC designs are much better, i even prefer my old C7 design, but the white S3 is way much better than the blue one as i prefer to hold a TV remote control than holding the blue S3.

Display wise: WoW, i had some doubts about the screen, as now there are IPS, Super IPS 2, Super Amoled plus screen technologies, but this screen along with the RGB sensor and screen modes from Samsung it blows minds.

Performance: WOW again, i feel i can install Photoshop CS on this device.

Screen UI wise: i still prefer untouched ICS, much simpler, or maybe its just me as i got used to ICS out of the box on my Lenovo thinkpad.

Battery wise: 2 days my ass, 18 hours is the max for this device, and yes i am loading lot of apps and i deactivated the auto-brightness even for browser, i want to enjoy my new device screen and 4core CPU or what else i bought a powerful device like that? this device need at least a 3000 mAh.

Usability wise: well i had some regrets just 2 hours after i bought the S3, I CANNOT CALL THE S3 IS A PHONE IT'S ALMOST A TAB, it's impossible to use it with one hand unless you are a NBA player, so as a daily business phone it's not practical at all, and i still prefer Nokia to make calls.

OS wise: LoL, well its Android, not belle, not IOS and not WP, so yup it's the best.

Overall: I am glad that i bought the S3, sooner or later i will get use to its huge size and i will start optimize usability to get a better battery life, and since i bought the S3 i didn't touched my tablet and this exactly what i mean when i say its not a phone its almost a tab.

Last year, Adobe announced that it is going to stop the development of mobile Flash Player for Android. Adding further nails in that coffin, Adobe has now announced that Flash Player won't be supported in Android 4.1. A prime example of this is the new Nexus 7 tablet, that ships without Flash support.
Furthermore, Adobe has announced that it will cease new Flash Player downloads from the Google Play Store, starting August 15. This means you will no longer see the Flash Player in the Play Store if it is not already installed on your device. Devices that already have the Flash Player installed will continue to receive minor updates and bug fixes post August 15.
Since the Flash Player is not supported in Android 4.1, Adobe is urging users to uninstall it before updating to Android 4.1, as it will not work properly. Also, any future updates to the Flash Player will not work under Android 4.1.
So it seems the era of Flash on Android has come to an end. What was once touted as a key selling point for Android devices is now being killed by its own maker. It doesn't help that Google too wants to distance itself from this archaic technology, as seen by the lack of Flash support in Chrome for Android even under Android 4.0.
It goes without saying that Apple has been instrumental in bringing this change. Sooner or later everyone was going to realize that the emperor was wearing no clothes. It's just that Apple was the first to point this out. Hopefully, the web developers will now finally wake up and adopt more modern technologies such as HTML5 for creating web content.

After a few days of use Samsung Galaxy S3 Direct Call does not dial the viewed contact but another one. You end up calling the wrong person. Very frustrating!

Rebooting the phone fixes the Samsung Galaxy S3 Direct Call bug for a while but then it happens again.

Until Samsung fixes this bug I decided to not use this unreliable feature.

you can say anything about s3 but please dont compare it with s2. even a child can tell you which one is beautifull. do judge from the photos of s3, just take on your hand and then give your idea. it is wonderfull.

I just received my galaxy S3 2 days ago. Right from there the wifi/data is always on. I notice that the battery consumption is so fast. It discharges in less than a day. Are you guys experiencing the same? What if I'll off the wifi/data, will it last up to 590-790 hours?

Nokia N86, 28 Jun 2012Why do sites l;like gsmarean exist if people DON@T take the... moreI was a user of Sony Ericsson phones for a while before trying out the Samsung Galaxy S, and true, I did raise an eyebrow over the message alert tones being only the preset ones, and you can't change it to your own custom tones.

That being said, this phone, being an android phone, allows you to look for apps in the android market. I am currently using one such app from the market which allows me to personalise ringtones and message alert tones (even for individual contacts), and I have no complaints so far.

Glad to see you giving the SIII a try. The specs look really good (even if I'm not too taken with the design). I'm still deciding between this phone and the upcoming Galaxy Note 2. Most likely the latter, for the screen size~
