My worst experience ever with a smartphone. Never got a single update in my 1 and a half year usage. I wonder how difficult it was for Samsung to update it at least to Kitkat 4.4.4 . Never buy a Samsung mid ranger guys, especially those in Pakistan.

good phone, I've managed to extend the battery life to 7 days between charging as well. All you have to do is put phone in airplane mode while not using it for a call. And as a bonus, people don't bother you as much either.

I've had this phone since Oct 2014...

It's a midrange phone with very decent specs.

                                        My pros.

-dimensions, I still can't get used to these new huge phones, so this size is my limit.
-display quality, very good one hd (720), excellent black colors.
-processor and RAM allow good experience browsing and multitasking (I don't play games)
-Good camera, actually, better than newer phones like Moto Gs
-Although battery is 2100mha it lasts a day using WiFi or 3, listening to music or Spotify... 1&1/2 days without heavy use.
                                        -enough ROM (16 GBS)
-phone overall won't give you have a negative frustrating experience. Still good budget phone. Because of previous point, S3 neo is better than Moto Gs, for instance...
-as Samsungs are popular, there's plenty of economic hardware replacement and technical support. For instance, replacing a Nexus 5 broken display here in Chile is expensive since model is not popular in my country. You need to buy lcd on eBay and then find someone to do the job here... Not the case with any Samsung.

                                        My cons.

-poor display protection, I've already changed twice. First time phone dropped from a 30 cms height and display got broken. The same happened a second time...it seems it's true there's no Gorilla glass protection included in this model.
-after changing displays, notification led, capacitive buttons and front camera got darker, blurred and full of noise... So I don't use any of them anymore (I'm a little bit obsessed with perfection). Anyway it's not phone's fault, it's the pseudo expert who replaced display.
-moreover (and for the same above-mentioned reason) proximity sensor doesn't work, it's covered, so I used an xposed module to deactivate it.
-Although we should get more support from manufacturer, since it's a 2014 phone, Samsung is not updating it anymore... Forget about lollipop, dream about Marshmallow. (kitkat is amazingly stable anyway).
-Samsung never released source codes, so no chance of getting Cyanogenmod or other custom ROMS without paying the price for. I know there's a lollipop version around, but second Sim doesn't work, NFC doesn't as well and battery drains fast.
-if you are a gamer, I think this phone's RAM will fall short.
-poor availability of fancy covers, cases, battery doors and accessories in general as it is not a popular phone.

...as a conclusion, phone is better optimized than a Chinese phone and most midrange phones (Alcatels, Xperias C and other Samsungs), it has better specs (Rom memory and display quality) than famous Moto Gs. And for me, it has a better size than all new phones, except Sony Xperia Compacts.
