I've updated my Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-i9305 on 25.09 2014 when Kitkat 4.4.4. was released through German provider via Wifi, but I downloaded it from www.sammobile.com and updated it with Odin v3.09 as it is suggested on sammobile site. Since then it works 100% perfect, no bugs, no glitches no nothing. I have Zerolemon 7000 mAh custom battery for 6 months now. With Jellybean 4.3 my phone lasted 4 days and 17 hours of my usage, now with Kitkat 4.4.4. it lasts a whole day longer, so 5 days and 15 hours and my battery still had 14 % of juice left (wifi on, bluetooth on, screen rotation on, brightness to max, power saving off 24 hours a day).
Speed of the phone is approximately 1-2 seconds faster when switching through options, menus, gallery. Camera also works perfect as it did before in JellyBean. And yes it's international so all the languages, keyboards and settings are integrated in it.
All in all with 4.4.4. it's a speed update and battery update for the phone as they promised with a few minor extra options in settings.
But beware if you have any other version of S3 than GT-i9305, this update will NOT WORK and you'll damage your phone !!!!

How is the kk update, battery life like 4.12? Everything else ok? Camera and video recording still as good? Safe to update this time? Love to hear from you lucky people who have update how it's going and thanks for your help.

Finally i updated kitkat manually by odin ita running too smoothly and battery is decreasing linearly.

after updating and testing kk my final opinion is that they made a great job with this release. the battery drains very liniar and lasts much longer. i can go 2 days with medium usage. it runs smoother and finaly waking up the phone does not take forever :) i strongly recommend it.

The new update of Germany has a unstable wifi connection. When phone sleeps, the phone automatically disconnects from the wifi network even if i choose not to sleep the wifi in the settings.. Any one experiencing the same problem ???

actually have version 4.3 PDA:MKC /phone:MK& /CSC:Mk1(XEF) this informations comes from Kies 3. I see no update..
My phone is not rooted... Can I use Odin to update my fone ?

From Slovenia owning a GT-i9305 on JellyBean 4.3 till 4 days ago. I downloaded 4.4.4 for Germany firmware from Sammobile and istalled it exactly the way Sammobile suggests with Odin 3.09. After whole installation (tok me 3-5 min, because size of OS is 1.6 gigs) phone rebooted and it came on to the new 4.4.4. (no more green battery on top, but in silver color) with all the settings and installed programs i had in 4.3. It was a speed bump i must say. But I did Factory Reset and I got an aditional speed bump prior to the first speed bump when I went from 4.3 to 4.4.4.
Its international, so the only difference is that, when you do Factory Reset, the first default language is German and you just choose your language, afterall, they are all there because its international version.
For 4 days now works like a charm :). I think my phone got roughly 5-10 % longer battery authonomy and 10-15 % speed in everyday usage, mostly in responsivnes of the OS.

Hi I already updated my I9305 to kitkat 4.4.4 it's very smooth and the battery life is good. But the only issue is the unfortunately google play movies and tv stopped. Why is it their's always poping out like that? What do I need to do?

chris, 26 Sep 2014Hi there, what model of I9305 you updated?? the I9305 or I9... morei have the i9305 and updated to 4.4.4 OTA 2 days ago. you need to have the german region firmware to get the update for now. other regions will update soo. you can download it and update manually if you want http://live.samsung-updates.com/?device=GT-I9305

Hope all u guys gonna get kk cause the 4.4.4 update is the best of all kk versions . No bugs normal battery life all fix all security fixes :-)
