AnonD-58283, 25 Nov 2012I think it's about the system, Apple using their own system... moreSOCs of apple r manufactured by samsung while it integrates gpu from power vr sgx... apple only gives finishing touch... iphones perfoms faster than quad core of androids coz iOS is very very light OS coz it is closed source OS with no customization n no java support thus needs less cpu/gpu/ram/power/battery while android does all multilevel functionalities which makes its OS heavy thus needs heavy specs... so for running a high end app, apple needs light specs n for same android needs heavy specs... if quad core of android will be integrated in apple then apple will beat every smartphone in all benchmarks but will suck up a lot of battery...

shnider, 24 Nov 2012if those specs still confirmed, then i will be disappointed... moreIt is obvious that it doesn't work they way you are actually thinking.That specific chipset's lithography is 28 nm.That basically means that the power consumption is much lower,the performance is higher and the heat emitions are less than the current's quad core exynos.Moreover,eventhough they will probably add 2GB of RAM,which is something that we have seen already in the smartphone world,these would be different as they would be LPDDR3 and not LPDDR2.That basically means again higher performance compared to the current ones LPDDR2,less heat emitions,and of course these chips consume less energy.Of course all these are still rumoured,so everything is just a wild guess and spare news from various sites which tech journalists did as a news research,like the preliminary specifications that GSMarena provides above.Finally,it is also rumoured that they will make NAND chips which will reach 128 GB of storage,which for many people will be very useful as they will stop using the slower microsd slot and they will use only the intergrated storage in the PCB of the phone which is a lot faster.My only concern is that if they add 2GB or more how well the chipset is going to handle all this memory,especially in situations when most of the RAM will be occupied by applications,processes and tasks.

Really looking forward to it... damn... this would be next gen processor... and 1080 HD screen... this surely would be my next Samsung phone after note 2...Way to go Samsung..!!
Note: Apple is not a bad brand... its just that they carry the worst attitude and Ego... Apple needs to grow up... and stop behaving like a kid...!!

HEY.. i dont really agree with the specs and also the "5.0 inch screen"
samsung wont really make the screen big as then it would be pretty much the same thing as the galaxy note.
SIII is already big itself.
but i am looking forward to the official specs of the S IV. p.s. the name S IV founds too good!!

if those specs still confirmed, then i will be disappointed.. I mean what does it differs from The S III ?? Nothing new, 2gb ram is usual and practically not noticable Comparing with Apple devices, 13mp cam isnt that big deal, even the OS !!

@ ranjith Samsung is just a "foundry" for apple chips.apple designed the a6 chip not samsung.it only "outsources" the manufacturing to samsung n others.
TSMC manufactures krait chips for qualcomm but kraits r still qualcom's chips since it designs them.
Pls do ur homework first before posting anything and telling others to shut up.
