Please everyone listen to me.. after updating to lollipop factory reset ur phone then u will see many problems like hrating and crashing b7t give ur s4 24 hour to adapt with the new software. I updated it 5.01 russian using odin. Firsti have many problems even after resetand i sware i was thinking to sell the phine at morning. But when i waked up after 15 hour of updating i see another s4 its amazing very smooth very responsive even scores on antitu increased by 3000

Hard-reset after lollipop update will solve the problem related to battery and over-heating. This is what Samsung service centre people do after upgrading the OS. That is why people who upgrade their phone from service centre don't face battery drain issues. I upgraded to lollipop in Samsung service centre and I am not facing any battery or over-heating issues.

I recently upgraded my S4 to Lollipop. I am not able to disable apps like Dropbox, Drive, ChatON and Flipboard from App Drawer.
But there is an option to disable these apps from Settings->Application Manager.
Is it safe to disable apps like this? or Will it cause any instability?

After lollipop update i am facing a problem that iswhenever i try to transfer data via usb cable to my laptop it become failed....so please give me a solution for it..

AnonD-209884, 10 Mar 2015Yes ....after updating my S4 to lollipop...i am facing the ... morei was not recieving the lolipop update so i forced flashed the s4 from 4.2.2 to 5.0.1(India Version). i am experiencing same problems i.e.: battery drainage & play store crash.
I performed a backup before i flashed it, now here is my question:
if i run a restore using that backup performed before update, WILL THE S4 RETURN TO 4.2.2???

My Experience (In India) with Android 5.0.1 on S4 so for:
Good:
1. Graphics and performance improved with material design.
2. New TouchWiz UI is cool.Camera quality little good than 4.2.2.
3. Battery is good not better, 14hrs on normal usage with data connection ON.
Bad:
1. Random freezes, Black Screen for a few seconds.
2. Apps closing and freezing almost after every 2-3 hours of usage.
3. Sudden freezes and reboots.
4. Notification panel goes black for few seconds and then normal..
Overall multiple bugs in this update. Fixes needed.

Sunil India, 06 Mar 2015After lollipop update application crashed issue and battery... moreYes ....after updating my S4 to lollipop...i am facing the same problem...my app crashes...battery drains out very fast...i need to charge my s4 twice day...n sometimes it heats up like a pan...horrible update...the hope i had on samsung got broke...
does anybody out here have any solution for it?

Overall is a good phone. But the battery life is a nightmare. 3x charge each day normal usage...

Apple releases an update and it is available immediately worldwide for their phones. Google releases an update and it takes almost a year before it becomes available on all android phones. As of now I'm still waiting for my Android 5.0 update. Now that there is no removable battery on the current Samsung flagship, I might well change to Apple since I don't like any other phone with Android apart from Samsung

dont update to official lolipop you cannot downgrade to kitkat if you do so there will be imei null error because of new updated bootloader.
