It's almost 5 days have past since Indian Samsung Galaxy S4 received the latest and sweetest android lollipop 🍭 5 update, those who received the update must be feeling happy and those who did not received update (specially black edition) must be feeling cheated and frustrated... Well their is yet no news on when or whether these remaining users will get the update. Honestly speaking I would suggest to those who are waiting can keep on waiting and may be you will receive the update or their might be possibility that Samsung has forgotten about its black edition version hence you wouldn't receive anything.

AnonD-143458, 13 Feb 2015based on my experience, lollipop 5.0.1 is the best update s... morei've updated my s4, but there no ultra power saving mode, no swiping on phone & settings, no Lollipop caller ID, no user login, no silent mode is there any problem with update 5.0.1 or those problems and those upgrades will be solved with 5.1? some body please help me i cannot see my mobile like battery also drained early.

All is working gr8 with lollipop update..
except one thing which is irritating...whatsapp n some app notifications are popped up...so whil eusing other app it comes in front at top...everyone having this??Is there any way to stop that??

For all those who have problems with lollipop, do a factory reset and wait for 2-3 days for firmware to settle. All issues will be gone :)

I have s4 black edition baseband no NA4 , plz anyone tell me will this s4 get 5.0 lollipop , someone is tellung s4 black edition will not ever be updated , some are telling it will get update in few days , plz anyone tell me perfectly ...

A4 deep black edition will never be updated to lollipop..almost all indian S4 versions are now receiving 5.0.1 update
One more reason behind my say is S4 versions prior to lollipop update was running PDA NI2, black edition is still on NG1
So guys either be happy or sad your choice

Hi friends I have s4 black edition And updated manually to 5.0. It is good but battery drains out very fast. Are you people facing same problem any solution for that are she'll I go back to 4.4.2 help me

based on my experience, lollipop 5.0.1 is the best update samsung has ever made improving every important aspect of s4 devices, mine has 20 to 30% more battery time, great improvement on heating issue (back to norma)l and no lag at all; all the above should have been good on kitkat too but it wasn't, now they corrected it; i have the russian version and i do configure the phone to a very good operating level, rooting and uninstalling many apps i don't use also freezing others that i might only rarely need, keeping background app limit to 4, no animations, clean with clean master etc, but still, i do that on all firmwares while this one is an obvious upgrade on every level possible; again, the good should have been there in other previous firmwares too but "better late than never"

As much I think it's dur to change of the runtime from dali to ART(ANDROID RUNTIME), so all the all apps made for older may lag, wait for the updated version of all apps for lollipop!
Otherwise if some pre-installed apps are also misbehaving and crashing then wait for few time like one or two days as in the start after the update, the firmware settles I'm little time then all issues like heating and lagging gets reduced!

Updated Lollipop 5.0.1 on my S4,app icons are looking ugly,and where is Ultra Power Saving mode!? I don't need useless Kids mode,this update spoiled my phone's beauty,Samsung disappointed me again.
