ash, 17 Jan 2015I hv same prblmThe Screen Flickering issue with Time and date shown on black screen is present in majority of S4.
Even i have it in my S4. It happens only when using 2g net. Doesn't happen with 3g or WiFi.
It is most likely due to faulty magnetic sensor. Samsung service centre OR executives dont have a solution for this.
Either avoid 2g or remove the L1 screw below magnetic sensor.

My S4(black edition-8months old) screen now a days suddenly flickers n gets dark with current time showing on screen (for seconds only).It happens multiple times in a day. Shubham or anybody can advice?

dbd, 16 Jan 2015its nomal..all smartfones heats more or lessHlo dbd. Dear you must have noted that note 3 neo doesn't heat up that much. Whereas s3 used to heat up a lot. I mean does it generate too much heat on net surfing etc

Hey friends. I have just purchased a s4 and it was the last piece in my city. I can definitely say that this is the best phone at 21000. No other phone can beat its performance except mi3. But that's not available now. Go grab it. Those complaining about the charger i want to say that it charges to 80 percent in just one hour. After almost two years it can beat the hell out of any phone in terms of performance and features. Smart stay,scroll,pause,air gestures adapt sound and display no other phone can beat it.

Thanks Shubham, muche and dbd for your valuable comments and advices. I think 2 votes are in favour of S4. I myself believe that phones like s3 and S4 are solid in make and specs. Subsequent updates keep their heads erect in the arena. New phones are beautiful but they appear as an item song in a subcontinent movie and then are replaced by a new arrival. Of course, Definitely Note 3 and 4 are not included in this category.
Dears, I would only like to know about the heating issue. Is it normal or alarming?
