I also confused between them.
Disadvantage of HTC 820-
1. It has Li-Po battery, which requires more heating than Li-ion battery to work. So, HTC has a major problem of heating and hence it's battery will drain quickly than 2600mAh Li-ion. It's battery is non-removable so having spare battery is out of question.
But Li-ion battery is vulnerable for ageing. But for S4 u can have a spare battery. Plus it's a benchmark of 2013 and going to be updated for Lollipop 5. SO GO FOR S4 !!!

Hi every one, I can send a SMS BUT DO NOT RECEIVE ANY MESSAGES.User manual is not very helpful.have I blocked the incoming messages by mistake ,can any one experience something like this.Your help will be appreciated a lot

In simple words,
Within Rs.26000, this is a great phone with lots of features and a great camera & the main thing is after sales service.
This is why we prefer samsung over other brands in India.
Gor for it, and dont waste above Rs.25000,
On any phone if you are not a millionaire.
Because after every 2-3 months your phone will become old as, there will be new models each month coming out.
So,dont look for best specifications available on a phone, instead look for a phone which suits/fullfills your need.

whic... moreS5 is better. It has a better camera, screen, battery and has waterproofing, fingerprint scanner and other stuff. It will also get more updates and has better performance and UI.
Note 3 is better than s4. Why will you downgrade.

Hey all s4 users plz dont upadate ur s4 to android 5. Android 5 will be a great upfate but dony hurry to update unless u dont see comments abouy this update cuz thid is the latest major upfate to s4. And not any one can use custom roms. Android 4.4.2 ( knox 2) make s4 performance very low. U can see quadrant benchmark at 4.4 s4 scored 17000 and 4.4.2 scored 9000... so be carfull

This phone is not good as compare its price.Hangs regular. My opinion sony moto or micromax is better.

Quality of samsung mobile set is very low as compare with price.hanging is very common problem.after sales service is zero.so never consider samsung.

Yes in the next few months and it'll probably be the last major update for the S4
