Please ... moreScreen is amazing. It's tack sharp. And AMOLED has awesome colors.
Sound: The phone has wolfson DAC. Purchase a high end headphone like ATH M50X and you'll hear soul shaking clarity of sound. However, with a cheap earphone set, you can't hear much of quality as the audio drivers and the frequency response of the earphone will be crappy.
Camera: It's best camera in class for price. Use the Rich Tone( HDR ) and night mode while necessary. Also turn the anti shake on. After that, you'll get great photos.
Battery life: It's okayish. I get 5 hour of on-screen time. The battery is good but not great.
Performance: It's really good. Processor is pretty powerful and s4 is getting android 5.0 update soon. That'll result in very smooth performance.

It's a great device. The camera and display is brilliant. Everything is OK but when u do heavy gaming then the phone will heat up. But in normal case it's performance is good

LG G2 G3 or nexus 5 all are good than Samsung crap, lags like hell. hair can turn to white when some Apps are opening after waiting long

I'll post screenshots of my battery life soon. Don't worry.
Exynos is way better than snapdragon. And applications don't need to code for a processor. The problem is s4 uses a PowerVR gpu which needs to be optimized for games. On the other hand the recent exynos use arm's own Mali gpu which had the default OpenGL drivers and not need to be optimised. Ask any alpha user. The phone runs like a beast. I'm a developer dude. OPENGL default drivers run with anything at an ease and better than Adreno ones.
This is my final reply to you. I met trolls like you every week who know nothing. Your replies clearly state you know nothing about SoC architectures and processes and I'm eating my time.

The exynos processor in alpha is bad just like other earlier exynos!
Benchmarks never tell the complete story.
Alpha keeps stuttering/lagging time to time... Every reviewer says so!
And before you say it's due to touchwiz then let me tell you that snapdragon version doesn't lag at all.
It's been the case with samsung phones all these years...
S4 with s600 is much faster than exynos version and doesn't lag.
And developer support for exynos has been total bad. App and game devs don't even code properly for exynos, that's why lag in subway surfers. And in few other games eg modern combat etc...
And not to mention the stupid overheating problems in every exynos processor. Is present in alpha also.
As for battery life, what alpha achieves is just downright poor. Having same life as s4 is no achievement(s4 is soon gonna be a 2yr old phone)
For 2014 standards it's really poor.
Phones this year are achieving 2x battery life...
And i even forgot to mention the not so great screen of alpha. It's a fizzy screen. Not very clear due to diamond/pentile matrix rather than regular rgb pattern. For amoleds full hd is a must.
And for twice the score in gaming benchmark, it's due to the fact that alpha's hd screen has half the pixels of s5 full hd screen to be pushed by gpu.
And as for sot time in s4 i will try to show u screenshots of my and my friend's s4. Scores in both of our phones are pretty bad.
People don't get 5-6 hrs sot even in their exynos note 3 which is better than s4 in battery life.
Don't know how you are getting such scores.

i bought my s4 on cyber monday got it a week later which was good, the first day i tried to charge it the phone took almost 9hours to charge, i thought as the first time that was normal. however the next couple times i tried to charge it still it took the same amount of time. Now today 22nd December 2014 the phone would just not power on, my friend has the same phone so i switch her battery with mine and it checked out ok so i checked the charger that checked out ok as well. i tried every thing else but the phone just won't power on it not even charging.
Did any one else have this problem.
