Tee♡, 25 Aug 2014Well, I got my Samsung S4 last year in July and I was prett... morewell i think wait for darkgamer to replay to you,but try this till then.go to ply store and download clean master, instal and run clean all junk files from phone ,memory boost and app manager move to sd card all you dont use or dont need to phone.this is a great program i speedup my old 512ram phone and now work like new.dont now for you if work but try nothing to lose is free and safe,could be better recomended.if help say thanx.

    Well, I got my Samsung S4 last year in July and I was pretty happy with it because it was my first touch screen phone. Now...I just think it was a total and complete waste of money and happiness. It lags quite a lot when you open certain applications, especially for me it's the camera and the gallery. My phone is currently running of the kit kat 4.4.2 software and it has improved but it still needs a lot of work. The browser doesn't always work, it freezes a lot, if it is connected to a weak wi-Fi signal, it just disconnects itself every time you open an application that does require wi-Fi. The phone is quite slow for a smart phone and it had some problems with the predictive text but now its better...I think. It does not allow you to assign a picture to any of your contacts but yourself which is really stupid...The chrome bezel starts chipping after a while, the screen, which is highly saturated and gives off unrealistic colors takes 80% of the battery when battery has been used for 12 hours. It requires too many updates. In general, it just sucks. I hope you don't make the same mistake I made

      There is a hardware block in the SoC named as Codec which means code and decode.

      This is the part which dies all of the encoding and decoding functions.

      The codec in exynos 5410 only supports upto 1080p@30fps or 720p@120 fps.

      The snapdragon 600 has upto 1080p@30fps or 720p@60fps.

      Snapdragon 800/801 upto 4k@30 fps, 1080p@60fps and 720p@120fps.

      Exynos 5422 has the same codec as snapdragon 800.

      These all are H.264 codecs. The new SoCs like exynos 5430 ( used in galaxy alpha) or snapdragon 805 use h.265 for 1080p and h.264 for 4k. The upcoming SoCs like exynos 5433 and snapdragon 810 will have H.265 for both 1080p and 4k.

      H.265 has more than 2 times efficiency of decoding/encoding than h.264 and also records in much less size with same quality.

      It's not related to the processor but the codec

              S4 lasts me 5-6 hrs of on screen time while n5 doesn't even go 3.5.

                      I got both n both are awesome.

                      Nexus 5 over S4:
                      1- Far more Smooth and snappy UI.
                      2- Frequent OS Updates.


                      S4 over Nexus 5:
                      1- Screen colors are more saturated.(Only next to S4 Amoled screen else, nexus screen is also really good)
                      2- Camera is better with more options.
                      3- IR remote.
                      4- Speaker is louder.

                      Downside to both:-
                      1- Battery is a bitch when it comes to 3g with both.

                      My S4 motherboard has been recently replaced after which it started performing quite well. This happened with in 3 months of purchase though.

                      Nexus on the other hand is really fast like iOS(checked it with my brother's iphn5).

                      Personally asking me, i would go for Nexus as it is really a bit more comfortable with normal day to day using.

                        Even Galaxy alpha UI got new touchwiz . I believe S4 to soon get new UI update. but beware the current UI of S4 and Note 3 is far far better than S5 UI.

                        In S5 UI just they made everything into Simple :( looks similar like the one in Windows UI.

                        Let us see.

                        If you have any friends with S5 try to check out the comparison of UI. You would come to know what I meant.

                        more over S5 looks like an unnecessary relaese wr LG took advantage with G3, hope with S6 they will catch the market again and bounce back, anyhow LG UI not even near to Samsung touchwiz :D

                            Have look at the comparison of photo taken wid S4, S5 and Xiomi,

                            You could see how best was S4 cam perfomance..

                              If samsung released S4 with Black leather edition as default instead of Black mist..

                              Then S4 release must turned into a Record breaking one.... :( :(

                                        i currently have the note 3 and s4. due to size, i much prefer the note 3, i would say if you can hold up... wait till note 4 comes oout in about 2-3 months then the note 3 should drop slightly, but they both awesome phones.

                                        i mainly use the note 3 as i like the display size
