hi everyone i wish to buy a galaxy s4 but confused between xperia z n s4 can u help me out plz.

AnonD-267983, 28 May 2014Yup mate you said right. Performance is better for sure. ... moreI already mentioned in my comment about the heating. It will get better over time. And the best remedy of all the problems is an s-view cover. Just try it, S-view cover is great.

if you use the s-view cover, you'll feel a lot lower heat as it is thicker. Additionally, it protects the camera which is protruding now. The heating will be gone when the summer goes. Don't worry about it.

Regarding charging, i'm not an ideal person to enlighten you but i usually charge when battery is below 5% and take it to 100%. That may not be iseal but it hasn't given me any problems.

Oh and please purchase a class 10 UHS-I sd card. They are also called as PRO or ULTRA sd-cards. They have premium card speeds and ideal for capturing high quality photos and full HD videos.

    Have a nice day

I was worried about it but now it is much better than before.

So your suggestions about the battery life really made me feel better. At least now I can say thanks :)
      One more question buddy,
I can see a little heating right down the camera or I can say just at the flash and the compartment of micro sd and sim card ,I hope its normal and will be fixed in weeks.
It's much in the sd card and it is a SanDisk 16 go micro sd card.
And one more thing that what is better?
1 . charge after total battery drained
      2. Charging after the

It's good to know that those solutions for heating worked. The heating will reduce over time when the phone firmware and the apps stabilise and summer goes away. Yes, summer affects a great deal in heating. If the ambient temp. is 42 degrees, phone will tend to cross 47 -48 on the inside. They will even improve over time.

Additionally, you would have noticed the performance boost you got from the 0.5x changing of animations in developer options. The kitkat( android 4.4.2) is even faster but i don't recommend to update to that.

Regarding the battery life, don't do anything. Use the phone normally. Just dont enable those smart stay, smart scroll and other useless features without using them as they drain battery. If you want to use them enable from 2 finger swipe of notification area, use them and turn them off. Switch off GPS, mobile data and wifi when not in use.

The battery life will increase in a week or so. So no need to worry there. The initial charges last less.

Don't use any battery saving apps. The power saving mode is enough.

You'll notice in a week that your battery life will be tripled and that too on general use with 3G on, brightness medium and with a normal wallpaper.

Just enjoy and explore your phone and don't worry too much if it heats or drains battery during the first week. It's normal.

          Have a nice day

This is my first Android phone. I am well aware of the battery back up in android phone, but I think it can perform better.

                Hey subham ,
I just got my s4 yesterday.
I already got reason to say thank you, your reply to ddaz(or like that) about the heating issue solutions worked for me.
                So thanks a lot.
But I have problems related to battery back up. As much I observed in only one day is that the phone stands perfectly for all said features and I just love it.
But the battery goes 1%(almost) in a minute. However the standby time amazed me.
                I am on 4.3 jellybean.
I would be very thankful if you give me few tips to make it better.

zaib, 27 May 2014plz help whether s4 or galaxy note 3 4g (lte)?? which is best???S5 is better than note 3.

Note 3 is better than s4.

S4 is better than all the rest of samsung phones.

So yes, note 3 is better but if you have budget, go for galaxy s5.

plz help whether s4 or galaxy note 3 4g (lte)?? which is best???

parv, 27 May 2014S4 or note 3 neo ? confused.....S4 is in every way better than note 3 neo. Note 3 neo is a mid range device whereas s4 is a flagship.

                      S4 has :

                      Better screen ( 1080p )

                      Better chipset/processor

Better camera ( 13 MP vs 8 MP)

                      It's also cheaper.

Note 3 neo has just 2 advantages:

                      s-pen

slightly better battery life ( 74 hrs vs 69 hrs)

                      So choose wisely

AnonD-257122, 26 May 2014Hi Shubham after the 4.4.2 update nothing works in the &quo... moreIn my phone they're working fine so yes, do a reset.

tammy, 26 May 2014Hi ru sure u can move apps and games to sd card. I wana buy... moreOnly app data can be moved to sd card, not game data. So your hd games will be in internal storage only. Let's say you have 1.5 GB game out of which 200 MB is app and 1.3 GB is game data. Then that 200 MB can be moved to SD card but not the game data.

The feature that you are asking for can only be done after you root an android phone.

So if you wish to only play HD games on this phone, either buy the 32 GB version of this phone or root the 16 GB version.

You have the 9 GB just for apps. So i think that's enough. All your music, videos, movies and files will reside in sd card. Moreover, there's the new kitkat update coming which will bring the new touchwiz of s5 which has 11.5 GB free, so i think then we'll have sufficient space..

Have a nice day. BTW if you care so much about games then better buy a 32 GB nexus 5.

Nick , 26 May 2014From what you say, it's better to update a phone that is ot... moreThat isn't possible. As that file is the same as it was in previous firmware.

To make you better understand let's say that our firmware 1 ( previous one) had 100 files.

In the firmware 2( newer one), there are 102 files in which 80 are same, 20 are changed and 1 is a new file.

So in OTA, we'll just get the 21 files which are changed or new. In kies however, you'll get all 101 files.

So, if a file was good initially and isn't available in OTA, it's unchanged as it is in those 80 files. So a good working file which isn't available in OTA won't be corrupted.

Let's say you got a virus in one of those 80 files, then you can't remove through OTA, you have to use kies and a clean wipe.

So in any way, kies is better than OTA or FOTA, whichever you prefer.

                                Have a nice day

darkgamer, 25 May 2014No. OTA update isn't risky but I don't recommend it as kies... moreFrom what you say, it's better to update a phone that is otherwise working perfectly through FOTA only. For in the process of replacing every firmware file, as it happens using Kies, it is quite possible that a previously good file gets replaced with a buggy one that may download with new firmware.
