I checked a Note 3 and a S5 today at a local store, but I couldn't reproduce the text blur of S4. It looks like all amoleds do not suffer from it. I have used a S Advance and a S2 before but never noticed this effect. It looks like there is an inherent flaw in the design of the S4 screen.

If you can't do this. Install the screen adjuster app from play store and slightly adjust the settings till the smearing goes away. I don't remember the exact settings so you'll have to fiddle with them.
If the issue persists, google purple smearing on s4 and go to the xda thread. It'll help a lot.
It doesn't bother me if you ask questions. Ask me again if you have problems.

[deleted post]Its a very small problem and occurs rarely. It occurs only when there is white text on a black background. The issue is named as ghosting. Just stop paying attention to it. You'll feel accustomed to it. It can be minimised by software but can't be eradicated as it's a hardware limitation of amoled.
Just try to avoid for 1 or 2 days. If you can't stay with this. Tell me. I have a workaround but that needs you to compromise battery life and perfect blacks of amoled.
I feel that this issue is non existent if you don't look for it. Just try avoiding. If you can't. Then you'll have to do the trick

Hello Shuvam, have you faced the scroll blur issue in ur device? I have it from day one- when I scroll thru text fast, the text blurs then settles. This happens in all browsers I have tested. Upgrading to 4.4.2 did not improve matters. The issue has been widely reported on the web too. Is this an inherent problem of the otherwise gorgeous screen that cannot be fixed by software code? Can you suggest any workaround?

Please tell me the on screen time. Not your usage. Go to settings> more> battery and click on the screen section. Tell me the screen time for 1 discharge from 100 to 0. It should be around 5 hr.

Yes I bought deep black edition wid 4.4.2 OS out of box only in 28k from mobile store online. I m not sure of leather back panel availability but u can call Samsung customer care toll free & ask them. By d which city U belong to?
