I think its normal..
Because i had LG G pro.. with thermal throttling, i got at most 42.4 C (games slower if you play while this hot. Its battery temp btw.) while WITHOUT thermal throttling it would go as high as 50++ (the chipset ignore the heat pushes device to the limit. Benchmark score still as high when it still idle and gaming is smoother than enables thermal throttling). I dont know if S4 octa or S4 snapdragon had thermal throttling. Anyone??

updated my s4 to kitkat 442 last two weeks ago. no problem. no hang no heat. great performance. battery performance also great
