And how exactly did you determine this? The same logic can be applied to 3.5 mm jack but it is still there right? Haven't gone to BT.

I don't understand how a phone that has the claim of being top-notch piece of technology can be offered on the market without not only FM but AM as well.
All this is done so that people would go for the broadband plans and pay FM traffic over GSM network. Silly and deplorable.
All the arguments expressed here that it is not necessary are coming from people who are lacking both the credentials and the erudition to even make a sensible evaluation of a phone's features.
It is a necessary feature to have on a phone and if it is not present - it simply is a piece of crap.
Shame on Samsung for reducing the features of this model with such an essential tool such as FM radio + RDS, and not including AM radio as well.
