will, 04 Oct 2013guys kindly help me,my s4 is 4 days old, and i just downloa... moreare you using i9505/snapdragon/4g variant as i have heard that it has this problem. as far as i know, i don't think that it can pose a problem. you don't worry, this won't affect you this time. this was like one in a million case and you were unlucky.
you can backup your data before doing a factory reset, files in pc via kies and apps in the sd card using androzip app in play store.

guys kindly help me,my s4 is 4 days old, and i just downloaded facebook, anti virus, and try to download some video. the video did not fully processed so, i cancelled it, then after charging my phone, when i woke up, i listen to my music, then all of a sudden the the earpiece sound is distorted. . and whenever i try to put it in pocket it also does the same thing, it, at first seems the cable is tangled, cuz sometime it comes in and out. i did went to the store, and they checked the phone. whe tried using a different headset and still the same, so its really about the phone, and they ask me to do a reset factory settings, i tried that, all of my files had been erase, then i tried to test my head set and it seem fixed the issue, but is it possible when we download an app, this can happen? pls help me guys. . really need your opinion on this. thanks

there is an
issues that is driving me crazy:
a screen flicker or flash,which comes at random times....its just that my screen lights up for a second....sometimes its very frequent...there is no defined app in which the problem occurs and there is a mention of such problem on various forums but no solution yet....i got my phone flashed from service centre AND did a factory reset too...no help...

Best phone i have ever used. I used s3 but s4 gives me a outstanding perfomence. Great job Samsung. 10 out of 10. Also waitting for s5.

Camera Fringing
The Samsung Galaxy S4 camera boasts great capture and is packed with all-new features, but there are units reported to be suffering from fringing or blurry captures. Mostly, it is caused by the protective plastic that was placed on the camera lens, and removing it can improve the camera problem. If the issue persists, check for an update from Samsung Kies or via OTA which will include major bug fixes. In case nothing of these methods solve it, go to your retailers or service centre to check if the hardware has something to do with it.
Occasional Lags and Freezes
The Galaxy S4 is not perfect, and occasional lags or freezes may happen at times. TouchWiz and other bloatware from Samsung can cause such problem and inconvenience which can be fixed by doing the following:
- Disabling some Samsung applications or the TouchWiz itself may fix the lags. Go to "Settings > More > Applications Manager > All > Select the app > Disable."
- Clearing the cache memory frees RAM and removes temporary files which you get from browsing the Internet or launching applications. Go to "Settings > Application Manager > All > Select app > Clear cache." Normally, personal settings and data files are not removed using this procedure.
- Restart the phone regularly to refresh applications, memory and performance. If computers require restart, your Galaxy S4 needs it sometimes, too.
Keyboard and Auto-correction
Some users prefer auto-correction when typing and Samsung removed the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean keyboard from Galaxy S4. If your TouchWiz keys are not functioning well with auto-correction, you download and install third-party applications such as Go Keyboard or Swift to solve this issue. Do not forget to check for updates which may include bug fixes on the keyboard functionality.
Signal and Reception
Getting coverage and signal is a terrible kind of crisis on phones, and if the Galaxy S4 you own has this, prepare to do some troubleshooting.
- Check the Airplane mode and make sure it is not active as it denies any coverage from any network. Hold and press the Power button to check if the Airplane mode is off; if not, tap to do so.
- Check the network coverage in the area. Thick and multiple walls can block network coverage no matter how powerful your smartphone is. Another thing is to make sure that there is no technical issue from the network covering the location where you are. One way to solve this is turn off the device for 1 minute, remove the SIM card and battery, if possible, and re-insert them back before starting the device.

A MATCHLESS DEVICE...
I have been using S4 for 2 months. It has given me no trouble,no heating issue, no hanging at all.running smoothly.In fact I use this phone very carefully and properly.Its battery back up is great,If you turn off unimportant and less usable functions, it will last even for two days at moderate use.
I love its design, its weight,its colour, in short everything, More importantly The premium feel, the confidence it gives you when you hold it in your hands. Actually, The more I use it,The more I love it.Still I could not explore all its functions.
Despite, all this I sometimes feel as if it lags while opening contacts list first time after a long time.It sometimes takes couple of seconds to open main camera. Does it happen with other users? If yes what is the solution?
Absolutely a fantastic, peerless fascinating device,9.5 marks out of 10.

You'll find some bad comments and fake complaints in every phones thread. Make sure to see who post that. It will be 98% anonymous. i only have one issue of heating when i use web browser especially using chrome. Maybe chrome is more CPU hoger. other than that no probs with the phone.
