But i9500 has a way better processor, a much better camera and great audio to back up for that.
Also i9500 has 8x slow-mo video recording at 720p which is not in i9505.

The Xperia Z1 is Sony's second device we meet running on the Qualcomm's latest and greatest Snapdragon 800 chipset.
It is powered by a quad-core 2.2GHz Krait 400 processor, with Adreno 330 graphics and 2GB of RAM.

You can't say it sucks, as it has tons of other feature. Depends on your need. No phone sucks. Fm is not there in nexus 4 as well. I believe they did the right thing in removing Fm coz have the time you can't hear anything while travelling. This is my opinion.

This 4g lark in UK is rubbish and coverage is chronically diabolical and speeds are slower than Three networks HSPA+.

Leonard, 28 Sep 2013Dude if 4g would be available in india at tat time would we... moreYou will be absolutely able to use i9500 on 3g as 3g won't be stopped. As now you can use a 2g phone perfectly fine. When s new spectrum comes, the older ones stay.
Infact all the phones launched in India are 3g . even the htc one sold in India are their 3g versions and not 4g.
You won't be able to use 4g though . The chip doesn't en corporate it.

Anonymous, 25 Sep 2013Hello, I bought Samsung Galaxy S4 cell phone in 13.08.... moresorry to hear about it mate...i agree with u, this happened to me as well my s4 fell from my back pocket to floor about 2 to 3 feet high and all the steel looking plastic frame around the phone got dents... i was afraid as the glass was visible from those dents and could be cracked next time so i sold it in the market...its really a fragile phone.. i saw many growing forums at this topic.... samsung has earned much respect from its low priced and high features phones..but now they are cashing it by cheating their customers....see whats the use of plastic if ur phone screen is still weak...and other day samsung CEO put a statement that they use plastic in their all phones cause it is easy and less time consuming to make the phones and to increase the supply in the market....i dont think he has any idea about customer satisfaction..... check this thread.....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2287882

[deleted post]I dont know when they give the 15% back. But yes the price comes out to be 35×××. And its available only for this month. No free stuffs from Samsung stores. But it's worth it. This is if your in india. I don't know about other countries

yeah baby!, 27 Sep 2013@shubbam hi! thanks by the way for the info, im asking bcoz... morebasically there are two major versions of s4, the i9500 and i9505. i9500 is the exynos octa version and i9505 is the snapdragon one. now you are going to know much more about them.
the i9505 uses a 1.9 ghz quad core snapdragon 600 processor and they are called krait 300. actually never go by the clock speed and no. of cores as they don't matter. Only the architecture matters. krait 300 is a very power efficient and powerful architecture and hence the i9505 is one I'd the fastest and long battery phone in Market.
The i9500 is much more complex. It applies arm's big.little technology and hence has a total of 8 cores in 4+4 clusters. actually first 4 are cortex a7 at 1.2 ghz(little) and last 4 are cortex a15 at 1.6 ghz(big) . the implementation is that depending on need, only one cluster, a7 or a15 is active at a time. hence only 4 cores at a time making the octa essentially a quad core @max. 1.6ghz. now, the cortex a7 architecture of arm is the most energy efficient architecture ever made and hence when they run, your phone uses very little power and hence is saving a lot of battery . but cortex a7 at 1.2 ghz quad core is very weak and it cant handle smoothly in games and performance demanding tasks. For that reason have cortex a15, the most powerful but the most inefficient architecture ever made. the a15 kicks when the demand is high as in demanding tasks like slow mo videos, games etc. the cortex a15 at 1.6 ghz is also 4 or 5 times more powerful than cortex a7 at 1.2 ghz, both being quad core.
comparing these 2 variants in cpu power of in geekbench 3, the scores are:
octa(i9500): 2330
snapdragon(i9505): 1900
hence the cortex a15 at 1.6 ghz is much more powerful than krait300 at 1.9 ghz.
Therefore, performance: a15> krait300> a7
power efficient: cortex a7 > krait300> a15
hence by managing perfect balance between power and battery, the i9500 has a great processor.
They also have a few other differences. They are:
camera: the i9500 has a better sensor and hence has significantly better photos: it has exmor rs sensor vs exmor r in i9505. i9500 also shoots 8x slow mo videos at 720p while i9505 can't do it due to worser processor
audio: i9500 has wolfson dac which is just great and much better than i9505.
the i9500 is also much smoother and never lags.
battery life is almost the same on both the phones.
i9505 had 4g lte which can be useful for some people. The i9500 is 3g only.
