Never Buy a samsung phone as they are a brand and Brands have a reputation to boast about until the matter gets out of hand. So they will proudly market to their customers that our phones body and rims will peel off because we have designed it like that. YOu should always feel ashamed to carry our samsung phones. Because this time we have again designed it in such a manner that you would not realise you are fooled buy all our marketing gimmiks.And the best part is we have designed a replacement for it also which will last u through another 4months for 2200/- bucks only. You just have to buy our product and we will show you magic. Your pockets will be holed before you can even imagine. And we have fallen so low that even the pure chinese counterparts will look better then our phones.Sigh , we still exist in India because of such generous people in India who are not able to still make out between the good and the bad.I have approached all the corners of samsung existing in India . But believe me they are a true model of team work. No one feels the importance of the Customer. Signing out. A long time user of samsung but its recent phones Galaxy s4 , S5 and S6 are the worst nightmare I have had with my smartphones history. Some people learn from others mistakes and some by making themselves. Depends on how much surplus money you have.

Anonymous, 04 Jan 2016It will never damage the portDude, 2.5 year old is too much, the ports start wearing out, if you haven't mishandled it than it would be a wear and tear component...
Secondly, fools are those people who say that once a phone visits service centre it is bad... But my advice is that when the phone returns from the service centre do check it throughly because these people sometimes steal the parts of the phone like speaker etc and then pretend that it was already not there/ not working....
No, using other company's cable, adapters can not damage things unless you are gentle with it, the ports might get loose but cannot be damaged, however they may effect your battery... But I recommend to mostly use your genuine cables/adapters because they can never causeyou any problem ( be gentle with the accessories)
Also, its just an advice, I think a 2.5 year phone is very old, make your mind for changing it because after such long time many phone start having motherboard problems or various other problems... Have a good day

I have Samsung galaxy s4 and my laptop doesn't recognize it when I connect with USB cable but the device get charge, I made basic troubleshooting and also download kies on my computer, the OS that I have is 4.3 jellybean and I need update my phone because I am no able to receive any notification for update the phone

I leave my samsung s4 phone in big cold freezer at -25 degree for 17 hours , after discover put in room temperature for 2 hours it working as normal, great phone
