How to reduce lag in android :
1: Powerful enough java machine hardware like 8 cores and 3 GB RAM
2: ROOT with custom ROM and over clocking kernel
3: install "seeder"
4:install "trim"
5:Single home screen with only dead short-cut icons to keep away scrolling stutter.
6:No laggy widgets
7:install Malware fighting apps
8:Install the Hourly Dalvik cache cleaner app called "No more lag" free , but with ads
9: Claim lag has always been a myth and only prove this after a factory reboot
10: Then claim WP has always had a lag problem to change the subject.
11: Hang out in XDA forums and join 10000s asking why it still does the lag....
12: Wait for Android 5 , with the quad-buffering and forced 120Hz.
13: Then Android 5.1 for the lag fix

dear SAMSUNG, if u still did these mistakes (on your upcoming GALAXY NOTE 3), then i bet soon u will lose thousands of your recent customers, trust me.
1) didn't include a FM radio.
2) same boring design.
3) same boring color.
4) same heating issues.
5) same easily drained battery.
6) didn't include OIS (optical image stabilization) on the camera.
7) small internal memory (which is user accessible).
8) easily cracked screen.
9) CPU still below than 2 GHz.
10) still bad video recording (shown on S4 compared to theolder S3, S4 losses to S3).
and others (such as no major software improvements).
PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THESE COMMON PROBLEMS...

I live in IIT Bombay, india and my friends have z ultra, htc one, z and I have i9500. The display on z ultra is great but on z is the weakest . xperia z was bashed for the poor tft panel all sound the Internet. It had vertu low contrast, poor blacks ams worst vowing angles
all people have their own taste about screens. Someone likes vivid screen, someone likes natural. I think you are the natural type but than also htc one has much better displaythan xperia z. I personally like it on z ultra but z's screen is really pathetic.
also I believe:

s4 for pros, geeks and experts
htc one for Android first timers and who don't know much about smsrtphones
xperia z for outdoorish kind of people
z ultra for big screen
for a common man who knows not much about smartphones, htc one is to get. but for an advanced user which can handle the complex s4, it's simply the best( i9500).

by the way I didn't disgrace any brand and I love Sony( previous phone:xperia u). I love Sony more than Samsung.

Happy..!!! Sold my xperia today on olx, got my money back, well almost.. Now no mistakes, am heading to get the HTC one tomorrow.. No two ways and then all these hassles..
First samsung galaxy s4, then xperia z.. But I guess HTC one is the phone for me.. Finally..

HTC One launched with 4.1 and got 4.2.x very recently.
GS4 on the other hand launched with 4.2.x.
Samsung always provided better and faster updates to the devices compared to HTC.
Finally , I want to speak about everyday usage :
-HTC One has wake up button is at TOP of the screen.So you must definitely use both hands to unlock the device EVERY TIME .You must reach to the top corner.
On GS4 , you can wake up device using wake up button on SIDE or center physical home button.This can easily be done with single hand.
Or you can wave on the GS4 screen to unlock as well.
-HTC One has a weird 2 button layout compared to GS4's 3 button layout at bottom.
-HTC One battery life < GS4 battery life.
Not to forget the fact that HTC One takes longer time to charge fully (it doesn't have latest technology to charge fast).
It takes like 3-4 hours to charge from 0%
-One doesn't have SD-slot for Media and also no removable battery.It also doesn't have removable back shell.
So if it gets scratched , you must live with it forever.If backside scratched on GS4 , you can always replace it with a new panel.
-Daylight performance and "details" are far better on GS4 camera while One is only good at low light.Daylight photos lack detail.
-Design of GS4 is more user friendly with nice smooth edges compared to One.Even heat is more on One due to metal body.
Both heat up but GS4 feels less heat due to plastic body.
