AnonD-174064, 10 Aug 2013Dont buy this phone... It gets heat up. You rather buy HTC ... moreHTC one also have heating problem .go check htc one user opinion page. Htc one is nothing in front of s4, no sd slot and no user removable battery.
If you want a slim and powerful android phone , then go for s4.

Anonymous, 10 Aug 2013nik-all your reasons guessworks are NON-SCIENTIFIC -REF s4 ... moreokay. let me make them scientific:

PS:IMP INFORMATION FOR ALL FACING HEATING PROBLEMS.

                            1. if an antivirus is set to auto check viruses. it will continuously run in the background and eat battery, cpu power and RAM. which will obviously generate heat as the energy must be dissipated and semiconductors generate heat.
                            2. this is the most common reason of heating. silly people find the cheapest microSD card and start complaining on the phone. if a memory card has low bandwidth, cpu will spend more time in copying the files and hence it'll generate more heat. DON'T STORE APPS IN CLASS 4 OR 6 microSD CARD. THIS WILL RUIN YOUR EXPERIENCE AND WILL MAKE THE PHONE LAG AND HEAT.
                            3. as you might know that the thin the material, the less resistance to heat it provides. see heat rate flow is proportional to the temperature difference and area and inversely proportional to the thickness of your material perpendicular to the junction.

hence all the three points that mr. Nik Vel told were scientifically correct.

also the most common reason for complaint is that people should wait for the phone to be normal after a firmware update. after the firmware update, the cpu is set to a lot of tasks and optimizing many apps. hence it heats for a couple of days after the firmware update. hence after 3-4 days, the phone becomes perfectly normal. so people please be patient.

So I know how much a smart phone will heat up. few s4 has hell lot heat issue. Mine is bearable but my bro has one and it heats up like a toaster at times.
The below stuffs are nt scientific but I tried and it reduced bit of heating issues.
LET THAT BE Scientific or NON.
                                Am happy with that!

Dont buy this phone... It gets heat up. You rather buy HTC One if you are an android fan, otherwise I suggest iPhone 4s or 5.

Android phones are really good with their specifications... If you consider phones through specifications then you would end up on phones like these... But in reality iPhone don't do gimmicks, they just simply tell the truth. I had a bad experience of using Android But now I don't wanna shift from iOS... iPhone 5 is best phone!
