They go for them for the specs. Had they wanted to show it off to others as an indication of wealth or prestige or that they are keeping up with some kind of trend, they would have gone for an Apple instead. (No offense to those who buy iPhones genuinely for the specs, but many Apple users out there are giving the impression that they WANT people to notice (and be awed) that they are holding an Apple phone when they use them.)
Why should it be a problem if you can't tell it apart from the other Galaxy models (and with this design, it applies mainly to those from S3/Note 2 onwards). There should be no complaints as long as the phone is strong enough to do the work you want it to. This phone has impressive enough specs.

Best ever device & the first octa core device made by samsung released.....
The design is better than SIII, silmilar to the first ever Galaxy S....
The shape clean, Hi End, all the signature back to original Samsung fashion Device...back to the basic..

Well Samsung is living on success of galaxy s which is out 3 years before.. they just wanna spread the usage rather than upgrading from a current user. i don’t think a galaxy user looks forward to replace it with a new galaxy.

I agree the design of the Galaxy S4 may not give it the "WOW..i have one of those" factor but all considering, if you damaged the Galaxy S4 casing compared to the HTC One mobile device, you'd definitely wouldn't be worried as much as I'm sure replacing the casing of the Galaxy S4 will be far cheaper and easier by comparison. Also the Hardware of this phone and the Software are revolutionary and I'm sure this is just a stepping stone of what Samsung will be creating towards unbelievable innovations in the near future. I do like the fact of the inter-connectivity between people who'll have these phones aswell, there's lots of fun to be had their I think and am looking forward to my Upgrade!
