I have an S4 that looks to be in perfect condition but it shows no signs of life. It doesn't charge batteries nor will it turn on with a charged battery. Any help?

I got one of these on it's release. Absolutely brilliant phone. I had it 3 1/2 years before the battery swelled and had to be replaced. I was still getting most of a day out of the charge at that stage and it was still running very smoothly.
I used it for another 6 months after getting a new battery (4 years overall), but unfortunately I smashed the screen when I dropped the phone flat on it's face. It had many falls up until this point but this one was particularly bad. Honestly, can't fault the S4.

I've had the S4 for more than 4 years. The screen is awesome. Battery life ok. The plastic sides are losing the paint. That's not so great. But for the rest this phone is very sturdy. It runs all useful Apps to communicate without a problem. I wait till it breaks down to get a new phone

Picked mine up about 5 or 6 years ago and shattered it in 3 months and after its abuse from then 14 year old me, I still use it. Last year my cousin got mad at me cussed me out and God smacked it on the ground. I still use it and can turn my data on 4G and it lasts about a work week on 1 charge. The only good phone made after that was the 5. Not GREAT video quality but motion blur helps remove it (which is what the 60fps option on YouTube literally is) and it has been a good phone. Btw it also has tape over the screen holding 97% of the shattered bits in place. So its been to he'll and back but it works fine.

Kazuma, 15 Nov 2018Worth buying in 2018?Not worth. The processor is way too old for apps available nowadays. The phone runs slow for latest apps. Also some apps are not available to install which are not compatible with this mobile. You can go with better mobiles after the year 2016 which you can get for same price as this phone.

For good battery usage, please downgrade os from android 5.0.1 to android 4.2.2. Install TWRP 3.1.1, wipe system, data and cache. Install firmware 4.2.2 from external SD Card on TWRP.
