Guys, the s4 will not have an octa core. The processor is hating heating issues and does not support LTE. so probably s4 will your qualcomm's snapdragon 600 quad core processor clocked at 1.9Ghz. And the other news is that s4 will not have the AMOLED display. Instead its gonna have a full HD 4.99 SOLUX display as the AMOLED has been hating issues with full HD 1080p resolution. Cant wait for march 14 to dawn!

The eight core is divided into two 4 cores. One with a15 for high power yielding apps and stuff and another less power hungry a7 processor. This is ARM's big.LITTLE technology. The cores will switch according to What task you are doin on your phone. Hence power is saved. Hope this comment helps you.

Samsung laucnhing yet another powerhouse to secure its place at the top. Tbh, I'm not too focused on hardware specs since thats the bit every company does right and is not a big differentiator. The thing which samsung does right every time and no other company does more / less is to provide a stellar software package to complement the hardware. Imo, the Nature UX tweaks (Smart Stay / Direct Call) to the s3 / note2 is what is responsible for their massive popularity, the quad cores / amoleds come second since its not overtly apparent to most users.
So yeah, I'm really interested to see what new software tweaks they are going to introduce this time. Atm Touchwiz Nature UX is undoubtedly the best / most versatile launcher out there. just hoping the s4 touchwiz builds on that. Also not to mention, apart from the reasons people mentioned, everyone will inevitably go for s4 since thats the only one among the current set thats 100% guaranteed a key 5 lime pie upgrade (along with note 2 / s3).

Even tho I'm a much of Sony person, I felt the s3 was the best phone I've ever used and I mean it had great specs. Sure it was the best phone last year but I think Samsung r coming up with the same thing over n over again with different models n a lot of raw processing power. I don't think most of us r going to be utilising all that power to a max level. My point is why so much power for a call and a message?
Most of us would use our comp for major tasks!
But I mean that much power, for what?
I don't think there r any app in the market to run the s4 at its potential.
And the point of paying that much is to get a good feel when ur holding the phone. I felt the s3 was a bit odd in handling but it's the performance where I was impressed, where it matters.
There is no getting a phone under contract down here but I can settle for a xperia z.
I think s4 is gonna be a big hit but s3 is better in all.
No doubt that the s4 will be top but who knows!

It's funny to see this being the most popular phone from the site, despite being not announced! The announcement is coming soon, and I have a feeling this is going to be the most popular a few months as the S3 was. :D

What is all this obsession with build quality? I mean a durable phone is a good thing, but it isn't high on my priority list. I care about what useful things the phone can do and how much processing power it has more than how well it reacts if I throw it against the wall. Build quality just became a big thing when it was one of the only major improvements the iPhone 5 offered, which made fanboys everywhere become obsessed over it. I could care less if the S4 is plastic, if it has the specs listed above, I'm buying it.
