It took me 10 ho... morethe same happened to me on my galaxy s3 (international). turned out the usb cable was broken. you need to replace the cable (only the cable, the adapter is fine). and dont be afraid if the same happens after a couple of months..these cables have really short lifetime, you have to replace even the most expensive one after 4-5 months. hope this helps :)

my Samsung Galaxy S4 - Automatically Shuts Itself Off
sometimes when I turn off the screen and walk's away and come back, I notice that my galaxy has been turned off by itself. So I'll need to restart the phone again.
It has happened like 3-4 times in 2-3 days. And this is really annoying.
Has anyone else got the same problem and maybe got an solution?

This is the first thing I did. Amazon gives only a 30 day cover. Besides, I think Amazon's responsibility ends if the phone is not physically damaged or it works fine for at least one day. It is a Samsung factory fault, and since this is an original phone, Samsung should take the full responsibility as the manufacturer and the what is said in their warranty documents get activated.

I am experiencing very slow charging time. It took me 10 hours with all apps closed.wifi off to fully charge the phone.
can someone help me?
Ac charging is the one on battery so must function normal.

1st problem is battery backup is so poor.
2nd Problem is using time set become too hot.

best phone battery lasts up to 48+ hours under moderate usage - business calls, lots of browsing, instant message and email, I even do my invoices from my S4... best battery life yet.

My s4 ram always shows 90% or above full even when I clean... how can I free up more Rams... there is not much apps installed in my device. Thanks

I am a mobile user since 1996. And used Nokia, Sony Ericson, Iphone and Blackberry, but never had any issues whatsoever.
I purchased my first Samsung S4 I9505 from Amazon and the S4 lost its IMEI and Base Band after 2.5 months of usage normal extremely careful usage. Since it was e-ordered, none of the Samsung centers in the world is willing to support me. However, the box had a Samsung USA 1 year warranty as it was delivered to USA. I paid US$ 850 and the repairs are going to cost me another US$ 300, altogether US$ 1,150. This is a factory fault and Samsung customer service was terrible. In fact Samsung USA admitted (Kathy) that they do not have the technology to fix it. My advice is DO NOT buy this model, I suffered a lot trying to get a software fix. But failed. The only solution is to remove this almost brand new S4 and replace the main circuit board at a cost of US$ 300. This is a piece of crap created by Samsung

hello, I've just purchased it today but i noticed strange behaviour on watching video streams (youtube videos) .. dark colours gets weird in the corners of the screen .. its like there are small black boxes .. please advise is this normal or not ?
