I'm not quite sure why people are getting upset about the apparent lack of FM Radio... Yes, although it's quite a simple feature, what is the real hassle with downloading a great app like 'Tune In' that gets any Radio station?
Is it really that big of a deal that it would turn people away from buying this phone...? Especially when you can simply download an app that would solve this problem? Just saying...

Samsung galaxy S5 will undoubtedly be much better than the S4.
If you WANT a high-end smartphone, wait for the S5.
If you NEED a high-end smartphone, GRAB this one!!!

confious, 08 Apr 2013what the different between sgs4 i9505 and sgs4 i9500 ??i9500 has that 2 quad core chips. A15 chips clocked at 1.6GHz for heavier tasks like gaming for example and the other quad core chips are clocked at 1.2GHz and they are A7 chips for light tasks like internet browsing for better battery life and they also call it the Exynos 5 variant or the Octa core version but technically they are just quad core coz not all 8 cores work together at the same time. The i9505 will have the Snapdragon 600 quad core chip from Qualcomm and that is compatible with all LTE bands I believe and the Exynos 5 is also LTE capable however it might not support all types of bands so maybe in some regions that have LTE if they do not have the bands compatible with the Octa core version then it will only be an HSPA device so I would rather go for the i9505 variant and besides it is very fast indeed! :)

I was thrilled to hear this was coming out but I'm sad they aren't taking cues from the Nexus and freeing the android platform. Also a bit, no, really disappointed in the video camera specs. Smaller field of view! WTF?! Will they update it to fix this?
Also, no FM radio, kinda weak if you ask me. And before you tell me to "buy a radio" I'm buying a device that should replace my laptop, pager, land line, compass, gps, thermometer, barometer, hydrometer, and my analog version of angry birds. Not trying to have
all this crap in my pocket. My guess is that the chipset has an FM receiver but they don't want to hype it because American carriers love to make your data rates soar by having you use them for music.
Overall, love the phone, loving the SGSIII now. If they can't fix the video, I'll pass.

TeamAndy, 01 Apr 2013What should i go for upgrades in JUNE, Go for the Z or S4? ... moreIf you don't mind the screen colour saturation and the overall body curvature go for SGS4 - I9505 version.
Samsung has far more superior (and mature) software package to offer than Sony, wider entertainment support, plus the battery is replaceable.

The "octacore" specification of the SGS 4 ia a mere gimmick at this stage. In reality it is double quad cores an A15 clocked at 1.7GHz and an A9 clocked at 1.5GHz, and only one set of quad core will be working at a time. So, realistically even though there are physically 8 cores, the device will behave like a quad core one. The reason for this architecture brought by Samsung is to have a power saving half working on less intensive tasks.
The I9505 version is a Snapdragon 600 quad core device clocked at 1.9GHz using 28nm technology which has power end energy saving features embedded in its design, which basically defies the whole purpose of having the I9500 model at all.
So when choosing between quad core and octa core, you can safely go for the quad core. No point to go for the octa core at this point of time - maybe later when Samsung comes up with a way to make it real octa core.

While I have to admit, the plastic from my S2 does feel cheap but this thing sure can survive. I've chucked this thing left and right on accident while it slips out of my hand and no scratches or cracks to be found on it. I stopped using a case because i plan on replacing it with the S4 but im in no hurry to buy the s4. I just got the jelly bean update and my s2 has the durability of a nokia. I have seen too many cracked Apple mobile screens so I will always remain a Samsung mobile consumer.
