1st I would say I don't really like samsung smart phone because of plastic so I want to give you all my honest opinion on this phone and 1st reaction when it is launched. And I really wan't some help to decide between S4 and HTC One. (I will appreciated all feedback but please give it with fair point not because your are a fanboy). FYI: I'm an iPhone user
When I 1st saw this phone on their launch event, I was like crap it look exactly the same as S3. However, when HTC One is getting delay for release in Australia I have spent more time to check out the S4. I was wrong at some point, yes it is same design language with S3, no doubt but when look closer the round bezel does look nicer compare to S3. I like how it is make like a ring around the phone. It does like like metal material but I guess it is plastic. On the back of the phone I like the lay out of camera and flash light and the texture on black one. It doesn't look bored like poor black color. Also it doesn't look curvy on the side of the phone like S3. The shape look better I would say.
At this point I am standing in the middle of the fence, 1 side is S4, 1 side is HTC One. They are both good at some point and it is very hard for me to choose. I don't really care much about 1.7GHz or 1.9GHz because most of high end android phone now can do all the task smoothly, few extra GHz or number in benchmark won't make any difference. I don't care about battery life or removable battery because with Note II, I have to charge it twice a day anyway. SD Card is not really that important as long as they have 64GB internal or external I am fine. So I will list Pros and Cons of both devices in my view below so you guys can help me decide what to go for.
HTC One Pros: is really good at design in term of build quality and material choice and I like how the speaks are made in front with stereo sound.
HTC Cons: Yes Ultra Pixel provide good image with low light but when zoom to 100%, the picture look not sharp at all. I feel like I am using old day camera. This is really a deal breaker.
S4 Pros: does come with good round premium finish, I like how they done with it. The design of the phone I think is an improvement of S3. 13MP camera mean the picture will be sharper and crisper when I zoom in. Tons of features, even though none of us will use them all but still nice to have extra
S4 Cons: I just don't like the fact that it is made by plastic
What do I use my phone for?
- Watching movie & tv show everyday. I prefer to watch on phone more than on TV
- Occasionally taking picture and record family video when I go out
- Playing game sometime
- Surf web when I am not near my PC
What do I need from my phone?
- Nice looking device
- High end ofc
- Update
- Customer suppor

But yeah, it doesn't really matter because this processor is second best on the market (after the one in the I9500). If you can't get the I9500, this phone will still be hands down the best.

It's based on A15's core performance. We saw the dual core A15 in the Nexus 10. This phone is basically the same thing but double the cores and newer. The cool thing is the dual core A15 outperformed quad core Krait clock for clock. This version packs a quad core Krait but higher clocked and updated Krait core architecture. It's still not going to be as fast as the quad core A15 but definitely it should be almost spitting distance from it. I don't think the performance difference will be bigger than 20-35%.

AnonD-48321, 23 Mar 2013The Exynos Octa has not been tested yet .If you seen the te... moretech analysts are saying exynos 5 octa wid big.little technology is better than snapdragon 600 chip... even gsmarena posted the same thing few days back n all big sites that analyses n conducts benchmarks are also saying so... also i said difference is not so big as said by those analyst... ofcourse the benchmarks are not yet revealed for exynos 5 octa but it z supposed to beat snapdragon 600 n also it is power efficient so overall we can say that exynos version is slightly better than snapdragon version...

Dear totally awesome staff at Samsung,
Can you please come out with a new and even more improved Galaxy Beam?
If you're gonna, please add 13 + MP camera, increased storage, 5" or more screen, and some sort of note taking technology like the Galaxy Note II (Possible without a pen - just finger writing technology).

As much as I'd like to see an FM tuner/transmitter here, I have to admit that it's much less important to me than the return of the infrared, something rarely seen on modern devices. It's a whole world of functions, remote control for various devices mostly. It's environmentally cleaner than Bluetooth, cheap and simple to build if you're a geek that's into soldering your own hardware. In short, I love what I see and will consider buying this unit. One thing to make me entirely happy would be if it had Windows Portable Handheld support, but alas, somehow the retail box market for mobile OS hasn't formed yet, if it ever will. With the amount of space and power this device boasts, I'd like to have it multi-boot into, say Windows Handheld, Maemo and Meego aside from Android that I totally don't share any passion about.

I sure hope this has a better build quality than the S3, seems to me the HTC One is much better quality

Samsung are going to make more people keep loyal to the S3 with No Radio function on the S4,this as been one of the most population applications ever been put on Smartphones an Mobiles,Why?have Samsung removed this function seems totally odd,an with the S3 being able to get All the functions off the S4 put on to it,the S3 will still be more popular,except for the camera update,i bet Samsung want us to us the internet radio on the S4,but its going to be costly

Still same design I hate Samsung all the models they made the same design.. Samsung sucks... this s4 gonna spoil Samsung name for sure.. Samsung gone bye bye

No radio, no 4G sold to my country, battery standby is not impressive, i think i have to wait for galaxy note3 which will comprise of all s4 features and other new stuffs. Naija for live

First o... moreS3 use a Wolfson audio chip, and with "Boeffla kernel" the sound quality is perfect and exactly as good as the Galaxy S with "Voodoo Sound"! The S3 camera is almost identical to the camera on iPhone 5 and produce extremly good pictures and videos!
Samsung combines every invention in to one phone, and polycarbonate have many advantages over the rather weak aluminium and fragile glass, and Samsung have placed all the buttons on the best, perfect, places while the power button on One is placed unreachable on the far top of the phone and Z have placed the too thin volume bottom unreachably low and the Z metal power button ruins the design!
