only problem is battery, it's doesn't compatible with other battery even it's fit on body
tried using s3, s4 mini, duos battery but always rejected as yellow exclamation ( can run but can't charge)

Still a great little phone in 2019. Perfect for custom ROMs. Works a treat with bare bones Resurrection Remix ROM or GPE ROM. Takes great photos and spectacular videos (with 3rd party camera app or Open Camera).
This continues to be my go to phone for playing around with or traveling.

I bought samsung s4 google play edition and its my biggest fault its worst device i had ever bought..i used other simple samsung s4 edition they are good enough but dont ever buy a google play edition s4 its too much freezing lagging dumb stock firmware google put in samsung phones that makes phones almost useless it freezes everytime lagging jamming due to incompatible dumb firmware by google...samsung touchwiz is way fast smooth and clean UI than this google edition software...problm is that no way to port from google play edition to touchwiz firmware

And secondly, i put a custom rom on it because i like to tweak my phone and have the latest Android version available for the device, not to mention the updated Android security.
Please dont make any assumptions that i don't like this phone just because i flashed a rom the minute i got this device. That is taking conclussions on a subject that's not even implied in my post.

if you're planning to play tap games/rhythm games, dont buy this phone.....i recommend 2017 and up phones with atleast octa core and 4gb ram.

This phone is OK but I had a huge problem with it I had to replace the lcd thats costs around 80$ then had a hardware problem it won't start or work had it fix after looking everywhere then had it again a year later couldn't fix it

Dine, 19 Feb 2019Can you share the steps to update custom romI've got this phone yesterday and immediatly put rom on it. Its pretty easy..
1) Make sure you're running latest lolipop firmware.
2). Enable USB Debugging in Developer Options (tap build# 6x at phone info).
3). Download Odin v3.x
4). Download TWRP 3.3.x.tar and .img from official website.
5). Turn off phone and put it in download mode / power+vol down+home button, release when samsung logo appears
6). Run Odin, check box "AP" and click AP and select recovery .tar, and flash. When phone vibrates, remove battery (flash without backcover).
7). Boot twrp with Power+vol up+home button.
8). In TWRP click install > image > and select recovery .img > flash.
This is so stock recovery wont reflash upon exiting twrp.
9). Flash any rom from XDA, and root with Magisk.
Make sure to backup stock rom with TWRP, and do NOT wipe internal storage.

This phone is so good because: it has a headphone jack, TWRP is being still being supported, custom roms are good, fast UI (even 2019 Lollipop) and doing daily tasks like watching YouTube, browsing the web (I am using Opera). This phone has 2gb ram (which is alright for 2019) and it has a large screen so you can view recipes on the Internet. If you want a good phone for a good price get the Samsung Galaxy S4.

This is phone is still going strong with excellent form factor and compact size. It's got all the features a good Samsung phone has with headphone jack, support for microSD and so lightweight.

in 2013 this handphone is a king of handphone .... but in 2019 this handphone is useless ... suitable for SMS and CALL of ... for another surf and multitasking sure bad bad hang...hangsung...haha
