This is the worst phone I never used. Please guys don't buy it from Amazon, its worst shopping cart.. I have got S4 I9505 once, lost display within 15 days of use, got a replacement, then the 2nd piece, I lost mother board within 10 days of use, waste of money, Don't go for Samsung products from now, not from AMAZON also...

I've been using the Samsung I9505 Galaxy S4 Black Edition for almost ten months now. A couple of months ago I upgraded to Kitkat 4.4.2. Not once in 10 months have I had any problems with this truly powerful beautiful phone, no overheating, no freezing, nothing, just plain smooth sailing made even better with Kitkat. The screen size is perfect, the phone is super fast, it's a real jewel to own and use. It is still a class leader, even surpassing more recent phone. Now that prices have dropped a little, the S4 is even better value than ever. Can't wait for Lollipop to come. A truly great phone, excellent in every department.

Im using this phone almost 14 months from 4.2.2 to 4.4.2 I'm not encountered a problem, overheating issue isn't true other wise user error not the phone. My techniques is every time mybphone get an update I'm always reformat to set the default settings by pressing Vol down + Home button + Power button after that I feel again my phone is always brand new because of smooth touchscreen, no lag, speed fast during apps execution and great camera.

Galaxy S4 is perfect phone for me
-No Lag
-Long life battery
-Great camera
-Very fast (touchwiz)
-Nice User Interface (features)
-5.0 Lollipop (18mo last update)
But this firmware is major update for Galaxy S4 its look like Galaxy S5 new touchwiz.

I have At&t variant of Galaxy s4 running kitkat 4.4.2 i9505 version in Philippines.
Question
YOur Galaxy s4 at&t version is already running i9505 version software (appear on start up logo), if yes, your mobile phone is permanent unlock and no need to unlock again.
