All of your gallery data will be safe. All the apps you installed on your SD card, you may have to re-install them.

Sheen, 25 Mar 2014If ur'll think about it there are many opposite reviews for... moreI have successfully updated to 4.4.2 and here are my reviews :)
1. RAM usage is improved by huge margin.
2. Battery is consumed pretty less when idle. Overall battery time is almost same.
3. I love the white color of notification for time , battery , signals , etc. at top of the screen.
4.Now you can also play with the apps icons shown on lock screen ;)
Overall , I am pretty happy after this update. I will observe the battery for few days and post the update here.

If ur'll think about it there are many opposite reviews for the same phone
there are chinese phones in the market which is an exact replica of the orginal and many get fooled by salesman into buying the chinese phones
Check on youtube on how to identify the differences
..I think people give negative reviews on chinese phones thinking it is orginal

So I came from an Xperia P and upgraded my phone to an S4 and here's is what I have to say...
SPEED AND STABILITY: The S4 is indeed fast, even with only a quad core 1.9Ghz, and Adreno 320 GPU (which is not the latest). The S4 blazes through every game and task I have ever done with it. From loading up pages, to playing graphic intensive games like dead trigger, I have never experienced any hiccup or lag.
Though.. I have experienced some HANGS. Once or twice in about a month that I have been using it. But other than that, multitasking is a breeze.
VIDEO: Video is good, have not experienced any dropped frames so far, but only when well light. Although just as all other cameras... sucks when its in low light.
CAMERA: I can say that the camera on the S4 is really really good! Colors are vibrant, has quick capture speed, and is rich in features like the HDR, SOUND SHOT, BEST FACE, and ERASE SHOT which eliminates unwanted moving background objects from the shot. Also, voice commands on the camera app works really well! Though not 100% all the time.
MUSIC: The music player on the S4 is good, loud and crisp, it also has ADAPTIVE SOUND which lets the headset or headphones adapt to your hearing capabilities. For example, if your left ear is more deaf than your right, the S4 will enhance the sound on your left ear so that the sound you're hearing would be equal to the sound you're hearing from your right ear.
CALL QUALITY: Its very good with the S4, very loud and clear! I have no problems with making and receiving calls with it. :D
SAMSUNG FEATURES: I dont actually use all the features that Samsung has put on this device, though I do use the MultiWindow which divides the screen into 2 parts so you can multitask better. Like texting someone while surfing the web or looking at your email. Also the Air Gesture which you can use to browse through photos and music. But I dont use it on those, instead, I use the Air Gesture when the phone is closed, when I wave my hand on my phone, it wakes up the screen and shows me if I have received calls, texts or other notifs which helps me save the power button and home buttons life. And also, for a person who regularly hits the Gym, the S Health is a really great app to track the calories you gain and burn. Also the number of steps you made for the day and the humidity of a place.
BATTERY LIFE: With a 2,600maH battery, my S4 can last up to 6+ hours (which i think is pretty decent) screen-on-time with regular texting and calling use, about an hour or two browsing the net like FB, twitter, etc, and maybe an hour for games. But at times when I'm at home all day and the wifi is on for the whole day with texting, calling, FB and other social media, web searching, games and other apps like Viber or Line, I still get around 3 to 4 hours screen-on-time, so I do think that the battery is good! plus its user replaceable! :D
ANDROID UPDATES!: Since I had it, i have experienced JellyBean 4.2.2 and 4.3, which has almost the same things on it, and the same battery life. Last night I have just updated to 4.4 KitKat and my observations are...
1. It did get faster and more snappy.
2. I think the keypad changed a little
3. Music player is now on the lock screen when playing
4. Battery Icon is now ALL WHITE (before it was green)
5. New options in the Settings like "Default Apps"
6. Transparent Notif Bar
7. Smaller font size (The TINY from the 4.3 got even smaller)
8. the MultiWindow interface and look changed
9. I do feel that the battery does drain faster when I'm using the phone but less when its idle. (Hopefully that gets fixed with more battery cycles.)

Deeply disappointed! I only have the phone for 4 months. Battery bulging out an extra 3mm. Guess it is not that thin anymore. Phone shuts down when it wants. Have to put it on charge to start it up again. My contact sync wont work. Now I sit without my contacts. I even got my girlfriend an s4 mini and myself a Note 10.1. Thought to select Samsung because of my good experience with the s2. Never buying a Samsung again! Too bad I have to sit with this contract for another 20months!

freezes on a number of occasion while executing apps, few times didn't recognize the handsfree!
