tom, 02 Nov 2010people need to realise, this is not classed as a mobile pho... moreOther than screen size what is really the difference between this and the Dell Streak and yet one is sold on voice or data tarriffs and this isn't. Simply changing the screen size does not suddenly chnage what it is. It is just an excuse to bump an item that is already well overpriced IMHO.

Kenny, Just pop over to Johore and go to the nearest Maxis centre and you can get one, although I believe that it is probably going to launch in Singapore in a couple of days or maybe week. It's MYR2599. Good Luck

Any id... moreI was in Singapore on the weekend and was checking out the computer stores on level 2 at Suntec city and came across this Samsung P1000 in one of the stores. I forgot the name of the store but it is not far from the escalator. It is on display in the front. The store keeper is selling it for S$1,400.00 It is an imported one from Europe.

people need to realise, this is not classed as a mobile phone, its like the Ipad, but it can make calls if like, so its better then the Ipad, battery is really good aswell

ady, 01 Nov 2010Awsome...smartphone + computer tablet.Well it would be if the network providers weren't effectively strangling it at birth! It is the same price as a top mobile phone and yet even with a contract you have to pay a purchase price upfront which is excessive to start with, plus the same price for the monthly contract price and in return get no free texts or minutes!!!! Who, ib the UK, is going to be stupid enough to be ripped off for this!!?? Even 3G dongle and a free laptop are better value!!! The phone is excellent but the greedy netowrk providers have killed it before it is even born!!!

Anonymous, 01 Nov 2010Ofcourse it hasnt got a dvd or bluray drive. its a tablet ... morei dont know how many apps there are available for this tab but i know that not all android apps work cos they are not designed to work on such a large screen so in a way it is limited to the few apps that are able to support the screen size.although ive read that android 3.0 will be tab friendly and make it work with all android apps available.

Apple has 300k apps and most of them are repeats ie a full version and a lite version.
Android are now looking at 100k apps a rising.
Considering Android hasnt been around as long as Apple I'd say Apple have something to worry about!
Again this is coming from a diehard Apple user.
Mega impressed with how Android is putting itself upthere and competing!
Side note, slightly envious you have one! Enjoy!

officially price samsung phillippines is 34,999php.. if you want lower tablet go to cherry mobile superion 19,999php same size,same spec and features..
