I still prefer a larger screen (such as the ipad) for my day to day computing activities...

Guys...guys...don't compare this with ipad. You are insulting the inovation and dream machine of executives. iPad is for babies on diapers, this is real stuff. Think of cloud computing, executive levels guys don't need a computer any more. Google docs and cloud computing will make there work efficient. Just need a docking station for external monitor and wireless keybord & Mouse. I will dump my office laptop Toshiba R700 (1.3 KG only) for this. Carry it anywhere you like as a phone or small dairy. Don't need my phone or laptop now. Buy a good noise cancelling bluetooth headphone and you are all set to go. When you are not working you know what to do with this machine. I would also see if they come up with the Window phone OS for this in October as rumored. That will be a boon for the corporate world giving them the seamless integration to office computer. Till then this ROCKS. Next version we want superAmoled...please...please....

Shame of them, cheap product but sell it in such a high price. So guys, think twice b4 buying! Most parts are supplied by others electronic company...in a very low labour cost also.

if it can call using cell networks then it is a phone..it is a hybrid..part phone, part tablet..do you understand...unlike apple which limits their device..

You know what guys, SAMSUNG PAD will surely be a greater hit than an apple ipAd.. you know why? because the apple ipAd has some feature restrictions such as multitasking is (-), the microsim on an iPAD is only used for internet browsing, there is (-) dialing/calling/text messaging feature. while on a SAMSUNG PAD those restrictions are allowed, or shall i say SAMSUNG p1000 is a merger of a smartphone & a netbook per say..:)) cheers..

Funny thing is when people go to the apple phone and hate on it. They actually have real compaints about its complete and utter uslessness. When apple people come and hate on the Galaxy S and the Gal T, all they can say is Samsung copied, when realistically so many of the apple parts have historically been made by samsung.
With regards to the pad itself. I think its fantastic. The size is perfect. I hardly use my laptop for surfing anymore cause of my Galaxy S's 4 inch screen which is excellent, so providing a size that can be held in the hand and a decent size screen is great. The Ipad gets really akward on trains and buses.
Camera wise, there really is no complaint either. You are less likely to use a tab as a camera just because its not as convieneent to take pictures with as a camera or camera phone.
Processessor? Hummingbird, nothing needed to be said.
I'm still heavily windows and laptop orientated to get one of these but its alot more appealing that the ipad cause it has flash, i dont need freakin itunes to do everything and you can play any file you want on it. Also you can mod the hell out of it!!!!
Also the marketing campaign samsung has on the galaxy series is amazing, truely something they should be proud of. I think this Tab will do well. Not as well as the Ipad, but thats simply because people have become accustomed to buying things before they even know what they are and do.
You should see the people who arrive at my work wanting to contract into iphone plans. The first question they always ask is "what does the new iphone do". You think you would know before being ready to sign up for 24 months. Tards!!!
