        I have just upgraded the firmware to 2.3.3 Gingerbread and everything went well. All apps and files are still intact. The latest version are now available in the Philippines via KIES software. I installed the latest FW in Nigeria since I had my work assignment here. I noticed that the KIES in my PC and my tab is unit specific. Once of my officemate GT-P1000 tried to use my PC which he bought from dubai and it was not recognized. So I just came to know that Sammy wrote the program of KIES for GT-P1000 specific unit and specific PC only. It will not work even on the same model, it by serial no. specific.

            i was in the mall and with wifi i used my galaxy tab to download some games in the galaxy market,,i just downloaded 1 application,and untill now i cant download anymore,,it alway's say's...server error,,hhmmmpp,,i just dont know what to do about it pls help..tnx

              Dear Sir / Madam,

              I upgrade my Samsung Galaxy Tab from Android v2.2 to v2.3 (GINGERBREAD) from Samsung Kies, the update went well. But I'm facing some problem in few applications in the new v2.3 (GINGERBREAD). Where can I address this, please guide me.

              The Problem is:

              1. Email Client application automatically closes after 3 sec.

              2. Social Hub application automatically closes after 3 sec.

              3. IM client application not signing in.

              This problems not with me only, all the updater are complaining. Please check at this site:

                froyo was more stable than gingerbread...
                i have called the support team twice but am not able to get to them .
                But im sure they'll have Zero clue about this problem.

                    and im not able to read any mails via the email client by samsung. Neither the IM client of samsung works.
                    WTF !!!! is this .
                    Dnt they try everything themselves before releasing it in a region.

                        Jus needed to confirm that as soon as i enter the Social Hub
                        It automatically closes after 3 sec.
                        does the same happens with u .
                        I dnt think thr is much performance improvement.......
                        or is it happening coz me using galaxy s2 as well and it runs like which cant be expalined.....
                        Tab is still suffering from slowing down while a live wallpaper is active....
                        Does the same happen .....

                          This is a good tablet with phone. But the size is too big for pockets. I thought of selling it off and getting galaxy s2 or galaxy sl. Should I do it? And is iphone 4 better?

                            im using a 4mbps bsnl connection.
                            No internet issues but still it fails to download.

                                The Performance is good, now the tablet works more faster. The data is not erased and everything remains intact - all the installed applications are remains. Applications and data not at all erased.
