thiseas, 22 Apr 2012can it work as a smartphone or it is only a tablet? Its a tablet but it support voice communication, sms, and mms. It means you can make calls and send sms. It has a simcard slot, so it can be a tablet and at the same time a smartphone.

1. I am also experiencing the heating on SIM Card side during internet browsing (using internet via SIM). The heating seems to be quite high for me! I have not tried browsing during charging yet, I will test it later and post!
2. Guys, when I optically checked my P6800 in detail, I noticed the front glass on the SIM Card side is slightly over the silver frame level. On all other sides (left, up, down) the glass is located under the frame level / recessed. (You can also feel it with your fingernail when moving from the center toward the silver frame). Pls, is your front glass properly recessed on all 4 sides(under frame level)? THANKS

Lots of lots of positive opinions. No wonder why apple envy samsong! But, kind of tired.
Hey, I've heard that samsong's phones and TVs are actually made by japanese, who had lost their jobs once. So, still made in japanese anyway. No wonder, steve jobs hated samsong badly.

Avhi, 18 Apr 2012Does it support gsm sim card?P6800 model support both 3G and wifi which means you can you use sim card in P6800. The other model I think is P6810, it's a wifi version only, obviously you don't need sim card. I recommend you to buy P6800 coz it support both 3G(simcard) and wifi but it's quite expensive. Please check the specifications provided by gsmarena. It's the best phone tablet ever, I've been using it for more than a month now and it's really awesome device.

nearing two months of usage.......To add to my previous posting....
I have now got used to carry this always as it is my primary phone. No urge to go back to iOS now.
performance is good....just encountered two new issues that is bothering me apart from Viber and Skype not supproting Blutooth fully like in iOS.
1/ my exchange mail setup got removed twice and I don't have the slighest idea if it was my company or the tab or my daughter. Though the gmail and yahoo setup was ok.
2/ It hanged couple of times and I had to restart it. And couple of time it restarted itself.
I am not bother that much with this point as it may be because of the application and not the OS or hardware. But yes I am counting on the ICS to bring in more stability and smoothness.
In short it is still great device and do not regrete buying it other then I paid 100SGD more to chalenger when it was available cheaper at other places. That is the draw back of buying in first couple of days of release :)
