Anonymous, 20 Feb 2012I just bought the Tab7.7 yesterday in SM Annex, Philippines... moreNo such thing, 4th day in operation and at office today half day I have been charging and working on it....offcourse did not check if games plays ok while charging. but mails, skype, facebook, google talk, yahoo , msn all were on and did not had any issue.
Charging take lot off time specially if you are continously working on it....need to clock the timing next time I charge.....

I just bought the Tab7.7 yesterday in SM Annex, Philippines.
i was ready to buy it's lower sibling the tab7.0PLUS, but the moment I grabbed tab7.7, i was so sold.even though it's price is out of my budget, i still bought it.
for the screen ALONE, it was a really good buy!
-sold my HTC Desire HD for this. and it was WORTH IT!
though, i believe 7.7 won't properly work if it was charging or connected to a usb port. only turn down. i hope samsung would fix this issue on an update

I just brought this in india over in flipkart and its the most amazing tab out there, the only flaw would be honey comb , the screen is brilliant and its damn light weight and thin and is the best e reader out there , For all those looking for an ipad alternative or doesnt want that big a size tab in ur hand , look no further the 7.7 is the one for you, the current version does not have Ir port , but am not complaining just waiting for the ICS upgrade promised in march

to someone who live in Saudi, you can Saudi buy this tab in here. i have bought this tab 16 gb internal last week at Riyadh for 2400 SAR. its good tab for me the screen very clear, the battery one up to two days usage.

appledroid, 18 Feb 2012remember that Apple have this banned on Germany, nce they k... moreAgree ...each of the laptop serves a purpose. no point of arguing which one is better. 7.7 is like a big phone, and best screen I have seen. Prime has different purpose combine it with keyboard u get two days of battery life....good for places where there is wifi.

CONS - cannot find screen protector or cover/skin yet as it was just released week back....even amazon does not have any.

OK I bought this tab 7.7 yesterday noon from Challenger for 888SGD.
Currently I use iphone and ipad 2 for phone and mails.
As iphone screen was too small and hurting my eyes (double vision) if I do mails for more then 15 mins, so I bought ipad 2 and do all my office mail on that when I am travelling abroad or on my work via mrt. Then it became cumbersome to carry two device. So I had choice of Galaxy note or this 7.7. when I saw the galaxy I did not like the plastic body, but when saw 7.7 was blown out with the build quality and sleek look. It is real thin, and solid build due to metalic body. No buttons on the face which I liked and always wished the iPhone/ipad would remove the home button and use the space for bigger screen in same overall size. Tab was able to fit in one hand and can type on other, or use both thumb to type.
Moving from iOS to andriod will take me some time. Accept for the fact that it is different menu different steps the users experience is same in terms of touch effect. Set up in iOS is easier, but then Andriod give you so much option to choose. I was able to find most of the apps in andriod / samsung market place that I used in the ios. Paired the tab with my motorola bluetooth headphone which has noise cancellation and when called wife while on mrt, she couldnot find any difference in call quality wrt to iphone. Battery life looks same as my ipad2 even with phone usuage. The amount of used space around screen is lesser then other tablets and think samsung finally managed to optimize space resulting in bigger screen on overall smaller size package. Hope ICS will come soon to it.... Haven't tested all games except angry bird which worked fine. Sound from the tab speaker was not as loud as iPad but not a negative point as with headphone sound was good and similar to iPhone. I felt little less bass but may be my imagination, will test that again with external speakers. Cannot charge it via USB of computer which is bad, did not expect it to follow iPad on this. Nor you can plug it into iPad charger by just changing the cable, such a waste. I was able to use my Jay 4 headset that i bought for iphone. The pause/start button works but the volume button did not work need to see if there is some settings. the x-mini works fine. my homecamera network using dlink apps works fine. Heard it has remote control...couldn't find it will check again.I have used google docs earlier so not much coment here but is a plus point on Andriod.

most applications and games are designed up to gingerbread only, some apps and games dont work on honeycomb.

this is the best tablet i've ever seen.i just can say that it's perfect.just compare it with other tablets from other companies.then you can understand this device's power.
