Hey all, the tab is coming....to new zealand and australia...soon to be released on the 6th JANURAY 2012. possibly earlier, try.

I am dumping ipad2 for this because (I am not a fan of Andriod) but because it has phone and larger browsing gorgeous screen all in thin metal profile. Most of my time at office is replying to mails and phone calls so this is best to have only one item to carry always and bigger screen will not strain my eyes and give headache with long usage. I have already bought a bluetooth headset for this which will give me 9 hrs hands free talking(Motorola HX 550).If i run out of headset power I can (in emergency only)put the device on ear for calls though bit embrassing.

$700 really? At least should come with a camera as good as the one in SGS2 and accessories like a good earphones an hdmi cable. Samsung is getting crazy putting a premium price tag on this tablet, just like Apple overpriced devices.

personally i think all (good quality) tablet are very good for pdf and e-reader, i use android and playbook tablets, all seems good enough

I love it when someone says that the iPod is better when, in fact, they haven't even seen the Samsung 7.7. I've been researching 7" tablets for awhile and I believe this one just may be a winner! Especially, if Samsung offers it in a WiFi only version.

i'm a huge samsung fan... i've had the GS2 and now own a Galaxy Note
but this is ridiculous ... it's been three months since we've heard anything about this thing ... except that online stores are now accepting pre-orders? come on.

AnonD-29527, 25 Nov 2011- slimmest gadget to date! 7.9 mm!. most tablet & smart... moreWell Toshiba AT200 is slimmer then this. but the best part of tab 7.7 is that it has the best of the screen and is a phone too. And if using it as a phone you can always get one of those good noise cancelling headphone or use the device to listen and talk as if in any other phone. though it would look bit odd to have it holding to your ear in public :). But for now in the market this is the best Phone tablet with slim form factor.

this phone is way beyond the others, cause i just recently exchanged my p1000 to p6200, what happen p6200 can't do tv out and heard rumors that you can't played hd games. i'm hoping to see this phone soon be released cause i reckon muc better .
