I bought SGTab 7" last week and I guess due to high price of SGTab7.7" HoneyComb 3.2 OS. SamsungMobile team definitely not discontinue & upgrade SGTab7" to HoneyComb 3.0 OS for compete Acer, Lenovo etc. now introduce Cheap price 7" Tablets in the market to get some share of SGTab. For users like us already have SGTab7" satisfied and not to affordable new SGTab7.7" due to high price or change frequently. No other choice for users like us if HoneyComb OS need must buy new one from Acer, Lenovo etc.

vf, 03 Sep 2011yes you can make phone calls with monster . And it depends ... moredude you can make phone calls with this . Some US versions of galaxy tab 7 was not having calling capabilities because the carriers chose not to have it . Check link
                http://hothardware.com/News/Samsungs-Galaxy-Tab-Launches-On-All-4-US-Carriers-But-No-Voice-Support/

Unless the carrier blocks the voice support you can make phone calls with galaxy tab 7.7

Most web pages are on white background, this AMOLED screen will consume more than a LCD screen even die earlier. The size to allow touch with fingers has to be at least 9-10 inches diagonal, it is a factor proportional with human body.

this one have earpiece wow! if the retail unit holds it, this will be awesome, i have no problem holding the tab next to my ear, the thing is holding it from one corner, not as a whole like it were a phone. I think in the future it will be so fashionable.
This is my next gadget, and a pacsafe venturesafe 150 series to carry it with me.
                        Thank you sammy!!

yes you can make phone calls with monster . And it depends on your carrier whether to block the gsm voice capabilities like some carriers did with previous galaxy tab ...................,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,?

let's see/hope/wish if the 5100 mAh battery could hold out this Tab 7.7, because clearly it's pointless to have one great Super Amoled Plus display & a very advance technology of Tablet-Phone but always has to reduce/minimize the usage of some function in order to keep the battery life from drawning too quickly (eg. set display to low brightness, turn off animation & flash, etc.). It should be the other way around, where Tab User can use all function to the max without worrying too much about the battery. a good compatible battery needed. (I raise this matter by considering all the complaints in previous Tab 7" P1000 mostly regarding the battery life). Cheers.

i also think that Galaxy Tab 7 is not gonna be upgraded to honeycomb by Samsung.
well 1st maybe the marketing strategy, though apple seems to treat fairly its old & new pod-phone-pad lines.
2ndly, maybe Honeycomb can only be run by dual core processor, which Galaxy Tab 7 doesnt have regardless the 1GHz CPU.(not sure, just guessing, someone from software expert can confirm this???)
so let's see how Samsung is going to decide about this matter.

dude check your stats tab 7 will die when this 7.7 is release believe me they will not upgrade it to honeycomb if they will upgrade tab 7 to honeycomb then no one will buy tab 7.7 right? and i think the price of this 7.7 will be much higher than tab 7... wait and see when 7.7 is release the owners of tab 7 will be disappointed.
                                  its a "marketing strategy"

SGTab 7" will not die friend because its size still pocketable size but not SGTab 7.7". You can see SGS 4" has initially OS2.1 now it has 2.3. And you know IOS 5 will works on IPhone 3GS/4/ipad old devices. All branded Tab Supports HoneyComb too. So expect from Samsung will definitely works on HoneyComb for SGTab 7" 1GHzCPU and 512MB RAM. It is a challenge for Samsung team!
