I intend on buying the P850 and primarily want to use it as a 3.2MP camera attached to the phone, since it's just such a schlepp to drag a seperatecamera all over town all the time. My main consern is, how does the camera compare to a regular 3.2MP camera? Can someone please honestly tell me???

yer, i got a samsung P850 the other day and may i say its the most overated piece of junk on the market. Like 5 seconds to take a photo and the camera quality isnt that good. my advice would be to do as im doing. sell the phone on ebay and go buy a K800i with a "real" digital camera inside it

This is a great phone. It depends on what features you want to use or have in a phone. When you know how to use a digital camera you can take wonderfull pictures. I have used the SE K790 and quality in night scenes is for the P850. This phone look is classical but if you see back view it seems a camera. It really takes 4 seconds to take the picture the same as SE K790. If you change some setting it takes less time.

not that great from samsung, very nice and compact for a 3.2 meg camera. not such a great camera though, i expected way better. I should have rather bought the n93. my advice is save up more and bye the n93, it is a much better investment. the features are exactly like the d600.

Hello, I bought the Chinese-version (SGH-P858) in Hong Kong last month and upon installing the Samsung PC Studio 3.0 CD-ROM onto my computer (runs XP Pro) it immediately gave me an Runtime Error message saying that "this application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." After this error message came another one which I believed was an USB error message saying that "ErrCode:e0000042/ErrDesc:".
COULD ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM since I can't upload any pictures from my phone to my PC (can't even launch this Samsung PC Studio 3.0 application). THANK YOU KINDLY all of you!

GREAT PHONE?
What are you talking about?
This one is another overpriced junk from Samsung! Read the review at www.mobileburn.com (The so-called CCD Sensor camera is below any expectations).
WELL, at least this phone has normal audio quality (unusual fo Samsung) and nice design!

I just wanted to know if the camera really takes 5 seconds to take a picture as suggested by the reviews? If that is the case then it is an awfully long time. Does it take longer than W810i?

I just ordered the P850 tonight to use here in the U.S. There does not appear to be available accessories here. Does it come with a belt clip? Can you buy an adapter to use regular aftermarket (beter quality) headphones?

This handset is by far one of Samsungs best designs yet. Classy and elegant capturing a some what old skool quality look. Boasting a 3.2MP camera, complimented by a swivel screen this leaves one wandering "Fone or Digital camera". All of this and most the lastest features, this handset is priced right.
