Not always moving or blinking, i had that in my tata cell, it was a basic hand set just 1500 ruppees and it had FM, recording, baner, call duration, everything basic that u need.

The best screen saver is switching off the display. It saves battery charge. I would recommend that. After all no one waste battery charge.

i dont get it buddy it shows all the timings yaar jus go into ur call log here u can see the timings of 30 received/missed/dialled calls n 30 received/sent sms's.
ok if u are talkin bout call duration than yes u can see call duration of only last call.

The Samsung PC studio video convertor cannot convert VOB (DVD) and .dat (CD) files to mp4. Thats why you need handbrake like software. I dont think you have converted DVD using PC studio.

You can also do it like
settings -> display ... moreAbout call time
Goto that particular call by seeing the call log.
Goto options -> call manager -> call time.
This shows how much time you had spent on that call. And also the call time displays automaticaly while on call and it shows the total time once you hang up the call.
Hope this solves your problem.

Type your message in Greeting message and save. I just tried it and it worked.
I agree that small things are missed out.

to fast forward ur songs n videos jus press n hold right navigation key.
n to rewind ur songs n videos jus press n hold ur left navigation key.

Happy with the phone....
Is it beyond yo... moreyea... its nice piece, for this price its has awesome features. but i found there are some illogical things, which u can easy find in any other mobiles even in 1500 rupees range.
1. Baner
2. call timings
3. everytime u on the speaker, it askes whether u want to enble it.
still I am exploring it.
Samsung should have been a bit more sensible about these small but important things

Upto me, i think that we cant define any ba... moreyes i understand that, but dont u people think, there should have been atleast a banner :-(
and 1 more thing i found disappointing is that, it doesn't show ur call timing. it only shows last call time and total time u have talked from the time u bought ur handset.

i hav 40 games yaar...
are u using only jar file?
for u i m writing it again....
TO INSTALL GAMES:
first download "jad maker" (its a freeware jus google it) so that u can make a jad installer file and then download games of 240*320 resolution (upto 500kb)...convert the jar files into jad format wid the "jad maker"...after converting...u will get two files...one will be .jar and other will be .jad...put BOTH the files in the phone memory's 'other files' folder...when u paste both the files in ur phone through ur samsung pc studio..a installer will appear on ur mobile screen...click 'yes' and the game will be installed...
there is another way also u can paste both the files (jar & jad) in ur memory card "other files" folder than after disconnecting ur pc suite jus click on the jar files n it will install the games......
enjoy.....
i agree on that sites u cant download each n every game but bro check the replies n u'l get to know there is problem with some of the games even other company phones cant install them.

i think proffessional converters take that much of time afterall u r converting gb's here.
but u can also try the video converter given in pc suite of s3500.... i recently converted a dvd (1.45 gb) n it takes an hour to convert to mp4....so try it
but my advice is try to search for sites where u can find movies which are already in mp4 format...jus google it..i think u'll find many...

Can we discuss about downloading movies from DVD or CD to this phone in mp4 format. This phone plays video awesome.
Convert a DVD/CD to mp4 file.
1) Install handbrake software on windows (Open source free software) (http://handbrake.fr/)
2) Now open the DVD or CD and give it as source file.
3) Give the destination file.
4) Output format is mp4
5) In Picture settings-> Anomorphic - None
6) Give width/height as 320 and 240.
7) Make sure the preset is Normal on the right hand side.
8) Click "Start" button on top.
It will take 3 to 4 hours to convert depends on your system speed.
If the output file size is greater than 150MB then you need to split the file to 100MB files and download it to s3500.
If you want a split use Samsung PC studio 3 video converter which has amazing splitter with QVGA playing setting. This takes 30min.
The whole of above operation takes about 4.5 hours max and the movie is ready to be played on your phone.
Is there any better way to convert videos. I dont want to buy any software for this.
