Its not just the screen, I am surprised to see scracthes on the back panel, the paint has slightly come off. Although I dont handle it roughly. At the most, I place is on wooden surface, ...

I really wonder how u managed to keep it fresh for 3 months..pls share the secret.

And more importantly, I am feleing frustrated on the apps part. Is there no workaround at all.

For example, I doewnloaded a jar file for game yesterday its less that 500 kb, but it still does not install on this cell.

I wish I could tel Samsung that with a just a little bit of technical enhancement, this cell would have been superb...but perhaps they have not understood that aspect.


Anyways for now...priroty is how to retain its sexy look...!!

Futher more I would like to know if games can be minimized in both the phones or not and can we play them in full screen mode..?

I understand that this is a good phone with all the necessary hardware with highest quality possible for this price.

But whatever software drawbacks I commented, I can do them in any walkman series of Sony Erricson including W200i which is at the lowest end of its series.

The playlist option on the phone you were referring may be called as a workaround. Can you believe listing the same songs which were already added to the same playlist. And imagine if you have like 100 songs which is true in any normal case adding them to playlists. The only bug is that the phone should not list songs which are already added to that playlist. My comment is just that.

Again the bass effect is comparing with SE phone. Just put on the earphones and listen to SE walkman series phone and this phone. The "Rock" option doesnt help to gain that experience. But I also believe that s3500 is a multimedia phone listed in samsung and I would expect it to be that.

Regarding the slider, I also thought its because of the mike. Then the phone should not allow taking the call when the slider is closed. Isnt it. But it picks up the call even when the slider is closed, but asks the user to open the slider when you enable speaker phone. I dont know what reasoning would samsung give for this. And ofcourse when the user has already pressed the speaker button it asks for one more question to enable it. Dont you think this is bad.

I have seen phone got hung for more time approx 8- 10 min when I am accesing like 250MB. The next time I can give exact time by keeping a watch.

My comparision is with walkman series phone of SE. I have used some of the nokia phone too and but didnt see these problems in them. Like.. the Music player to stop when memory card is accessed & not able to browse the photos on memory card by next button etc..

But I do believe one thing. This phone is best in its hardware. There is no second thought. May be if we can adjust for some user interface related issues, then buy this phone. But its awesome to watch movies, listening to songs, FM radio, and the loud speaker while taking the call... but all single task at any point of time. If the expectation is single task one at a time and start the task all over again when the other task gets completed. Yes this is the best phone at this price range.

But I would recommend samsung to take these comments seriously and fix these user interface related issues. It would really boost their products in the market.

bro problems will remains the same if they are not logical...like u hav askd - that when u are playing any song u cannot use camera as i hav told u even in nokia 5130 or any other phone at the same price tag dont have this feature: then wats the point in complaining!!!


-first of all please explain are u talking bout bass?
if yes than try changing the sound effect use "rock" or try others also....i think bass is very good...s3500 music player is awesome compare to other phones...

again my dear brother u are writing out of ur ign0rance yaar if u dont know at least do ask us......creating playlist is such a simple task.....when u want to add songs in ur playlist why u go in "all tracks" folder when u have hell lot of options like u can go in "recently played" folder or "most played" folder or "artists" folder (where songs are divided according to diffrent artists) or "generes" folder (tracks divived into categories like bhangra, jazz, blues, bollywood, hindi etc) or "Albums" folder from here u can easily add the song of ur choice directly to ur playlist jus click the option button n then "add to playlist"....as simple as that.....
n u knw buddy even s3500 is not termed as a music phone (although music player is awesome) u got all the features of a music phone...u can create playlist u hav a seperate folders like "recently played", "most played", artists, geners, albums etc DO u know in nokia phones which r not music phones like 6300 u even CANT create a playlist so stop complaining. even in music phones like nokia 5310 u can only create playlist through pc suite in ur pc not on handset.


- again its not half the work done.... this thing happens in nokia phones too.....dear REMEMBER its not a smart phone.

-dear its not bcoz of the speaker its bcoz of the mike....mike is beneath the slide. n same in case of many other slide phone.


-wats the big deal bro who need a pc suite for splitting....u can get inummereous professional splitter free of cost on net...jus install one of em in ur PC in enjoy....we got a great video converter with our pc suite but i prefer more professional video converters.


- i dont know bout it so i tried a file 250 mb yes my phone freeze a little bit but only for 10 to 15 seconds.
try it again but this time keep a clock handy with u (10 min is way t000000 long buddy)
but i think its normal coz the size is very big thats why we use splitters dear ;)
jus split it in 2 or 3 parts.

-again u are writing ur ign0rance.... bro at least ask us if u dont know....offcourse u can lock it jus go into MENU - SETTINGS - security - phone lock
here u can lock ur phone....apart from it the phone also has automatic locking function n moreover not only phone.....u can also lock ur PIN, ur SIM, ur messages, ur call log, ur phonebook, ur stuff (pics, videos etc) ur calender, ur memo, ur to-do list etc...
see locking is one of its great feature...

-no bro again u are wrong if u r listening to a song n u take a call ur song will pause n after the call u jus have to click pause button n not play button....there is huge diffrence between these two coz play button means ur song will start from the begining again which is not true coz the song resumes from where it stopd....
moreover u said when u end the call u accidently press the button "end" more than once n ur music player exit this is again "FALSE INFORMATION" coz ur music player never exit by pressing end button...no matter how many times u press it... when u press end buttion it always ask u "stop music player now?" n to stop it u have to press left soft key...it stops only wen u press left soft key....now tell me wen u end ur call how can it stop ur music player......

n i definately dont buy ur conlusion bro
no phone is perfect buddy.....
i can list u a large nunmber of features that u find in s3500 but u'll never find those in nokia or se even if u shell out Rs 3000 to 4000 more.

so according to me at its price this is the best phone...read bout its awesome unique feature in earlier comments...
n if u dont agree than dont say at its price range nokia or se is better instead tell me exactly which phone are u talking bout jus give me the list of those particular phones at the same price range n than i'll show in comparision to those phones how much s3500 is better.

i always thought why u r in such a hurry to write review here pls first clear ur fundas n then write....

-no buddy sliding is not necessery to take a call... u can take the call without sliding it jus by pressing the "take call" button.
sliding is jus an aditional feature.

-Yes offcourse u can send contacts through sms in business card format.

With your suggestions only the FM radio recording got solved. Thanks again. But others remain same.

My review on this phone

1) The sound quality is good but lacks in base quality. This is user level experience compared to my old SE phone. But try creating playlists. This is a big pain especially if you have so many songs. It will show all the tracks everytime including the ones you have added for that playlist. This is what we are asked to do in the user guide.

2) The video playback quality is very very good. The S3500 is able to play 2 indian movies continously and still the battery can remain for a day for usual work. This is the best I have seen. But again, samsung always does half of the job. When you are watching video and we receive a call the movie goes to the begining. You have to fast forward again !!!!

3) Yes I do agree this is slider phone and need to slide to take the call. But when the music loud speaker is able to work with slide closed why cant I take the call on speaker with slider closed. I dont understand this part. And the funny part is it asks for one more question "Do you really want to enable speaker ?" after pressing the speaker button. All this we need to do while you are busy taking the call.

4) Please remember there is no slide show or you cannot browse with next button for the images stored on the memory card. Your logic applies to only images on the phone memory.

5) The battery in my phone is pretty good as I said.

6) The PC studio 3 doesnt recognise this phone. But this gives a good feature where it can split the video file into multiple chuncks. The PC studio which comes along the phone recognises but doesnt have the above feature.

7) This phone will hang if you are trying to access the video file greater than 150MB. It just hangs and comes back after 10min. You cannot receive a call during this time.

8) The user guide given with this phone doesnt talk much about any of the menus. We have to explore it by reading these reviews. A big feedback to samsung.

9) There is no way to lock the phone. May be I dont know. It happens automatically for now.

10) The music player doesnt continue playing if you have recieved a call while it is playing. You have to press play button again.
If you have accidently pressed call disconnect button multiple times to cut the call then you end up stopping the player and you have to restart all over again.

Overall this is good phone with all the necessary hardware present in it. But the software lacks common sense logics.

I dont know may be we can adjust for the price, but definitely when compared with SE or Nokia these logics cannot match them.
