my s3500 is 3 months old n it looks brand new as i hav bought it today only.
there is no scratch even i dropped it couples of time. cud u plz tell me where u get scratch? r u talking bout screen? if yes than do one thing use any good screen guard...it will cost u Rs 100, or go for lamination it wud b much cheeper i think Rs 30 only but my advice is go for a good screen guard ir really secure ur lcd tft screen.
jus keep it safe buddy
its ur valuable phone jus dont take it for granted.

YES offcourse u can set ur text messages alerts on repeats. the alerts will repeat evry 2 min untill u check that message.
this feature called "message alert repetition" in s3500.

I'vs started loving this phone...except for the fact that java apps are not easily downlodable...thats a big disadvantage.
ANyone tell me how I can keep is shiny and new....how to safely clea...withink a week, its develped scraches.
Same hapened with my earlier samsung. any way out to keep it maintained?

actually u r talking about 2 diffrent features of s3500....
1) lock messages
2) block messages
as i have already told u if u want to lock ur messages so that no one can access them other than u than jus follow those simple steps as i hav told u in my earlier comment
BUT in case if u want to block ur incoming messages from any unwanted person ....
than according to ur comment u r confused with those options - by adress or by subject
so the answer is to block messages from any unwanted person jus click by adress option n than enter this prefix +91 n then the 10 digit mobile number....for ex if u want to block this no. 9898989898 then simply type +919898989898 in "by adress" option then choose wat u want to block: sms, email, mms or all of these from this number.
if u dont find it simple then there is another way which is much simpler...
jus go into ur inbox n open any mes. sent by that person then click option, here the 8th option is block by adress jus click it n save it.....its done...u hav blocked messages from that person.

this is not how u lock messages actually u are trying its another feature that is blocking messages....
ok here is the guide for u....
TO LOCK UR MESSAGES:
MENU - SETTINGS - SECURITY - PRIVACY LOCK - here jus click on messages n set a password thats it as simple as that ur messages are locked now.
TO BLOCK UR MESSAGES FROM ANY UNWANTED PERSON:
jus go into MENU - MESSAGES - SETTINGS - GENERAL SETTINGS - BLOCK MESSAGES..... here u can easily block sms's
