the battery is crap but it is well better than my 6230 the walkman is only 15 quid dearer and u get a 512mb memory card with it

Hi people i own this phone and about the battery life. it lasts 12 hours leaving it on and using it all day. i used it on the phone for 4 hours and still had battery left so the talk time is longer than stated. it takes transflash card which is the same as micro sd i think and i have a 512mb so 1gb should work.

Hey, I wish to own this phone but would like to know more on the features... Is any microSD card also can be used?? Even the 1GB mircoSD crad?? Also, Is this a speakerphone handphone or need a handsfree to use?? Other than that, what's the price of this hp?? Thanks for the info...

teyshi just out of interest? what do you think of sony w800i handset? my partner and friend both have this and i did consider it very briefly but ive never been into sony phones, im a huge nokia fan to be honest i did have the n70 sent but was amazed how big the thing was like a brick! but also like samsung hence the d600 which i know have delivered today but ive resisted switching on so far until its had a full charge of 14 hrs or so!

i just received my phone. only one flash works... always. camera, flash, torch .. only the left side lights up.

I bought this phone online and I love its look. The only problem is the cracking and unclear reception when using the bluetooth headset. Its so bad thatI have decided to opt for the headphones. o2 replaced the phone hoping it is a handset fault, but the replacement has the same problem. Any idea why?

got this fone, so far so good. the front display is cool nice design the best thing tho was the imode tariff that came with it 750 anytime any netw mins and txt for £35. wz an 18 mth contract tho but i wz lookin that way n e way. had a play with it, am happy!

hey guyz, i just bought this phone and already want to get an upgrade. the camera doesn't live upto its reputation or the company who made it. k750i is the new phone im goin to get. the best advice i can give anyone is dont buy the phone, a phillips savy is even better than it!!

hey chez seriously im glad you got the phone you wanted and of course one man's meat is another man's poison. im sure you will love your d600. gen samsung are brilliant handsets they are esthetically pleasing as well as delivering on the tech bit. at the mo the the phones every ones is jamming the lines for are the new motorola's L7, u6, v3i and v3x but again im prohibited from going "noooo!" down the phone as 3 of these handsets are very limited in their spec. e1 is cool because of the whole itunes bit. i always give my customers this standard advice no matter how much you want a ceratin handset if its chargeable to get through new contract or upgrade, dont pay for it, fads come and go so why pay for the pleasure. you will always have free upgrades available wich are just as good so go for those. even tho these handsets are deemed to be "old" in mobile terms the nk 6230i and se k700i are fantastic as they carry most of the latest specs but are not a tarted up piece of kit so you get a better deal. n e ways sorry to lecture, but remember ther's nothing worse than the latest bling handset that's jst gone out of fashion or been superceded, stick to something beyond this type of marketing as you will always have something no one else has which has got to be a good thing!!!

teyshi, this phone was an upgrade . o2 didnt give a personal opinion as such it was just the d600 wasnt in stock so they offered it as an alternative. to be honest it wasnt all about the specification i didnt reallty want a flip phone either!

just bought this phone online. waiting for it to be deliveried. i am buying a second hand because i am not in europe and is looking for the manual for on the web. i download 3 of them from samsung.com but they were labelled as s500i but they were actually s500.
also what pc suite do i need with this phone?
i only have a crap one i used for my v200... ddo i need a usb cable?? i already have com port one....

hey chez, I work for o2 did you by any chance get this as an upgrade? we r not allowed to give our own personal opinions on handsets, but because im on here i can say what i like!!
basically i chose to get the s500i over the d600 as i thought the d600 really wasnt all that. its quite bulky and rather unstylish also what you'll miss now that you've given the s500i up is the sleek stylish look.
im a massive samsung fan but i would say to you that the battery prob you experienced is a samsung thing not jst with the s500i.
good luck with the d600 personally i think the s500i kicks its ass! ha ha ;)
ps the whole 1.3 mp v the 2mp is a bit of a red herring as unless you r to download images onto pc and blow them up the diff is after all only 0.7 on a small screen and when you send mms its rescales it anyways
soz its jst so annoying when ppl call through screaming for latest "must have" phones phones that you know r all jst hype but are not allowed to say so :(. hope you enjoy it. o2 are ace!!!:))))

cheers razzie but i allready sent it back, it wasnt the one i wanted to be fair i got my heart set on a d600 so this phone was minus 10 in my estimation in 1st place! o2 "persuaded" me to give it a go . but it is a nice phone and everything and its got great reviews . they are sending me the d600 now without any fobbing me off which is unusual for o2! so im happy enough

Hey guys! i got this fone at christmas and have tried connecting it to my pc but it just doesn't seem to work, i've installed everything but when i reach the connection bit it just does not seem to happen for me. is there anything i need to press on my phone to help it connect or what? i'm very puzzled

i got this phone last tuesday and I am happy. the battery on my phone lasts a week before requiring a recharge. I recharged it on saturday as there was only one bar left and the battery is still full.
I transfered at least 20 pics from my k700i to the s500i using bluetooth and infra-red and the battery was still full. I didn't notice any dorp in battery life when playing with it when I first got it. I suggest doing the thing suggested below.
People who are having trouble setting mp3s as ringtones, I think you lot should read below as the answers there.
overall I am happy with the phone and features. ;)

i have this phone and the bluetooth does not seem to be working at all..... for some reason it will not connect to the phone and i am wondering if i am doing something wrong...
I bought it from o2 and received the free bluetooth headset ( i think it's i.tech) and for some reason the phone cannot find the headset. i told o2 and they have sent me a second one and the same thing has happened! what am i doing wrong? help!
