There has been a few posts about accessing WAP and emails.
You cannot access WAP or retrieve POP3 emails because of the I-Mode facility. I-Mode is an alternative to WAP, and as mentioned I-Mode has its own email service I-Mail, this is why POP3 not included in phone.
I-Mode is only available on O2 in the UK.

To use mp3/aac files as ringtones you need to upload them to the phone using Samsung PC Studio version 3.0 ONLY this version appears to work with the USB cable - earlier ones only use COM port or IR. Once installed, it will auto detect the phone by USB, driver files required for Windows come with PC Studio. There is also a size limit on music files for ringtone use. Try encoding them at a lower quality/bitrate.

its very stylish and all but i cant get the music on to my phone it just wont work the usb cable isnt recognised on the samsung studio disk u get with the phone any help would be good and how do u get the music to go into music list and not mp3

hey there....i bought this fone erlier and am waitin 4 it 2 arrive!! quite excited but ive just read about the battery life..id like to know roughly how long it does actually last coz im out and about alot, cheers

Just about to buy but what is all this about converting mps as ringtones? Never had to do it on my D500. Can someone email me to let me know what's the what and how.

about mp3's as ringtones.
i worked out how to do it by converting etc, but i noticed it tells you it wont play on the phone, but if you select it anyway and try ringing your phone you'll see that it does work.

I think its a great phone, agreed with the battery life, but thats if u have bluetooth on isnt it? is i cant get one :/ coz another prob is its only available as a bill phone on my network

this phone is only available from o2 in the UK. I got mine on ebay - the seller had it unlocked for me. good luck!

anyone have issues with bluetooth headsets or find one that works really well? I bought a jabra bt800 and it doesnt work very well..any suggestions are appreciated :)

Did anyone manahe to figure how to forward and rewind on the mp3 player, i can FW/RW on the voice recording and video but not mp3. If some does figure it out please e-mail me as sson as possible

the S500i is bluetooth Stereo, it has a very good quality, the phone has also incrusted presests which are very qualitative.. I am using the phone as a MP3 player ;)

Hey, went into an o2 shop this morning. the guy in there didnt know about the mp4 thing but... he did have this phone himself. he said that leaving the bluetooth on drains the battery on this phone.
