    1.goto "MENU", then click on "ALARMS".
    2.click on "CREATE ALARM" at the bottom left corner.
    3.set or ignore "ALARM NAME".
    4.click on "ALARM TIME" (2nd option), then click on "+" or "-" or use the keypad to enter the time. then click on "SET" at the bottom left corner.
    5.now comes the important part. click on "ALARM REPEAT". then click on "ONCE ONLY". then click on "SAVE".
    6.click on "SET DETAILS" at the bottom right corner. u can change ur alarm tone and volume from this menu. then click on "SAVE".
    7.then finally click on "SAVE".

    u can create as many number of alarms u want and to make them ring once or every day or a particular day or date etc etc. hope this helps...

      what format do i need it to be?

        Hello!
        I have a tiny problem using the Samsung S5230 Star – every time I end a conversation (click the hang up button) the Mobile phone switches off and turns on by itself!!! So can anyone please tell me if it’s normal for the Samsung Star to function like this? Your help and comments are highly appreciated.

          Hi Friends,

          I have got a problrm here. I deleted all the files frm my Samsung Star mobile phone accidentally. I thought I will clear all the phone memory but unfortunately i came to know that all my pics were stored in the phone memory. I want to recover those pics.
          Please suggest if there is any way i can recover lost pics from phone memory.Thanks

                      i'll be buying this phone.i read somewhere that upon receieving a text message, the phone's backlight turns on and doesn't turn off until you read the text message.is this true?please help.

                              Hello friends,

                              I have Samsnug Star (S5233A) and I've Samsung NPS 3.1 installed in my Machine. I can connect my phone with NPS through data cable provided. Now I want to update the phone software (firmware), I clicked on "Update icon", a pop up comes in. Then I select "Update Device tab" and from there I can select the phone model (GT-S5233A) from the drop down but the problem is that I always get the message "Device not supported."
                              Why is this happening? Is the NPS not updated?

                              Any suggestions appreciated..

                                hi all, i got this phone a week ago. what can i say about this fone? it rocks. but the camera really disappoints me,its unimpressive, images are blurry and dark.. but i still love it. im a music lover, and star has very good sound quality. try to play music in your headphones. you will be impressed. much more louder than 5310, my previous phone. its user friendly, and battery is quite good. but you have to charge it for 2 hours or more. display is quite good. to those who plans to buy it, dont hesitate. but i suggest you go for the wifi version. have a good day!

                                  This is no tough task to change your firmware. But keep in mind one thing that u would be voiding your warranty immediately after you have upgraded/downgraded. The only way to restore your warranty is to find and restore the original f/w, and unfortunately the chances are very less to do so. If this is alright with you can go ahead and change your firmware. If u wish, I can post u links to the f/w, flash guides etc. Kindly do mention your current f/w version, if u wish to go ahead with changing your f/w. You can know your current f/w typing *#1234# on the keypad.
