king, 19 Jul 2009no i don't think u900's adapter will fit into star.
while ... morethanxxs buddy for ur response.
but d problem is 3.5 mm audio adapter for samsung star gt-s5233a is not available in our local market.so i decided to buy it from online store(ebay),but there also no 3.5 mm adapter for samsung star gt-s5233a available,but one for samsung flipshot is available.
so cud u plz tell me where will i get one for my star,n how much will it cost?

hey king,
i am not well aware of all the firmware stuff.. so am still weary about upgrading it coz dont want problems..i mean i don want what soham got(orange and blue bar):-) ..
should i try the ftp lite thing?? or does is tamper with the firmware?? what do u suggest i do?? reply soon

tkfileExplorer method does not work as it closes when you are downloading files(.jar and .jad) to the phone? help?

i suggest using www.4 shared . com and typing "touch game" then download a zip file. . .i did the same there are many games in that folder and nice ones for that matter. . .and yes they do work

like th... moreyeah there are gprs plans for vadafone but i use only the free browsing plans, not the free downloading ones. in this, its rs.14 for 3 days, rs.32 for a week and rs.99 for a month. browsing is only free.
and i got a recent sms from vodafone about download plans too. rs.152 for a month or sumthing... i did'nt save it.

after all complete the goes off th... moreyes i also got an orange screen display but no blue bar. don't flash ur rom so many times.
take it directly to a samsung service centre. as sumone in the forum mentioned before, tell them that u were transferring files and suddenly there was a power cutoff and the phone got like this. u won't be charged anything. it does not seem that this is in ur hand anymore... refer directly to samsung centre.

but didnt select the boot file again jst cheched all the other boxes i will try again & let u knw thnxxx,,,

have you followed the fimware upgrade procedure to every step mentioned in the darkforest website??
flash all files, rc1, rc2...
this happened with me also. check these things:
1.the moment u click on port search, the MSM6250/MSM6250A changes to BRCM2133.
change it back to MSM6250/MSM6250A.
2. the moment u click on "port search", the box beside "BOOT" option goes blank. notice this. u must choose the file again.
notice that all fields are set properly before u click on "download".

can you download anything through your browse... moreyes i have tried opera mini. and i browse a lot. but i have'nt downloaded anything as download rates are very high here in india.
check the gprs settings with ur service provider, youtube videos should have no problem in streaming. this problem is not expected.

1.goto "main menu". (on the bottom of the wallpapaer screen, trird icon to the right).
2.click on the "settings" icon. (the 9th icon, with the sign of a blue bearing)
3.choose "language settings". (the 4th option from top, its icon has an orange cellphone)
4.click on "language". (the very first option from the top).
5.here there are 2 fields. just click on the box of the first one. scroll down and click on "English".
click on "save" at the bottom of the screen (highlighted in green or red depending on the theme)
5.click on the box on the second field, scroll and select "english".
click on "save" at the bottom of the screen (highlighted in green or red depending on the theme)
6.exit.

while buying the phone u can take the adapter and see if it fits or not, otherwise buy a compatible one.

Hi,
I've faced the same problem when I try to connect browser and the problem is not with the mob, you need to contact ur GSM provider and inform them the same, so that they will send you a link or file to install that on ur mob and once it is done it takes atleast 24 hours to activate or depends on your provider and once it is done you need to switch off and on ur mob to get browser connected.
I've the same prob and I've contacted my provider Airtel and they fixed that and now i've almost downloaded videos and mp3 from my mob :)
