tried this a long time ago to access the phone ... moreyeah u can't work on ur phone while it is connected to the pc (its the same when u connect it via pc suite or mass storage).
but when u disconnect the phone, why wud the phone not recognise the card?? this is not expected.
in case the pc does not recognise the card, then unlock the phone while it is still connected and just touch on the idle screen. it will be recognised.
in case u see messages like "media player is not accessible" or anything like that on the screen of the phone, when you unlock it (while it is connected to ur pc), just click on the idle screen. the problem will be solved. its a bug.

Hi King,
Is there any way to select the particular song (using alphabates) from the available song list while using the Media Player?
E.g. it should display the song list starting with alpahbate 'A' or 'B' after pushing A or B respectively.

one is bubble pooper: never had the patience to try it out. hehe
tumbling dice: another stupid game. just shake ur phone and the two dice rotates. u'll find that in the Lg Cookie ads.
there was another trial version game. don't remember the name as i deleted it long ago. i accidentally clicked on some option n instantly Rs.10 was deducted from my prepaid account. so irritating... hehe.
but after getting the fone, playing the in-built games wud be the last thing u wud want 2 do... trust me... they are that bad... hehe

Whe... moreur questions have been answered a lot of times before. do take the time to read the detailed answering of ur problems in the previous posts.
1.wallpapers: www.zedge.com
2.u can't install java apps unless u change the firmware (that is, its OS).
3.msg alert tone: goto "profile settings", then click on ">>" beside ur selected profile. on top right hand corner, select "New messages". u shall find the msg tone changing options.
4.u can use other headsets from the market and connect it to ur phone via a 3.5 mm adapter jack. u will have to buy the adapter separately from a mobile accessories store.

Now about themes. no star's not the only phone in this range with such stupid "theme" ideas. have u tried the MOTO MING series or the MOTO ROKR E6?? its the same. only 3 or 4 themes r present n that too colour themes (red, green, yellow, violet) like the ones in star. n u can't install themes.
in the MING n ROKR series, u can't even set a full-fledged wallpaper. it will be partly visible in the main screen background.
and there is actually a reason behind this. if u check my very first posts in this forum, i had written that the MOTO series and the STAR does not run on Motorola and Samsung OS respectively. it actually runs on LINUX OS mobile edition. its the parallel of SYMBIAN OS in NOKIA (very few people know the fact that SYMBIAN OS is actually a product of MICROSOFT Corporation, USA). anyway as everyone knows, LINUX is much less customizable than other OS.
that's why star is free from viruses. viruses won't affect ur OS as LINUX is by default virus-free, n they have integrated that in this mobile edition.
i wish i could post the link of the many web pages where i got this info, for evetyone to see. but i'll have to search all over again...

This phone has no compartment for a stylus..i found a stylus in the bus which can be attched to the phone by the thread..
actually this phone doesn't need a stylus..all functions can be performed with fingers..messaging too..
battery life is great, used it for 3.5 days once..
actually depends on how much you use..will come for 2 days if you use it a lot..music, texting..
just reduce the brightness to zero and also the vibration to 0
phone connectivity to pc is great..you can use the samsung PC studio or can use it as a mass storage device
go to settings->pc connection->mass storage device to use it a storage device
camera is just awesome..clarity is very good during day time..
no flash though :(

Where do i download wallpapers for this phone?
How do i install java applications and java games on this phone?
i downloaded a few java applications, both .jar and .jad files and sent them to the phone through the pc...when i tried to install those files in the phone, it said "file format not supported"...
how do i change the message alert tone?(not individually for each person> want to change it as a whole)
I don't like the head set given along with this phone. How can i use different earphones??

the samsung pc suite is the worst pc suite i... morehey man,
tried this a long time ago to access the phone via PC, i found the following issues, which you mighr help solve:
- after connection, display on star is "CONNECTED" and you cannot do anything..even if u press any of the phone's buttons.
- some of the times the phone doesn't display this and u can use the phone normally, but the PC and the phone can't detect the memory card. after i've disconnected and restarted it, the phone detects the mem card, however, when i connected it again to the PC, the mem card cant be detected again, both by phone and PC.
Your usual help would be highly appreciated.

Andyr, 09 Jul 2009I wonder what the resoning is behind this? - is Samsung S52... morewhat i meant is that they give u another pre-installed theme (green theme)in the set up menu you can install. thats about it. you can change wallpapers though. Maybe later on someone will find a 'hack' to change themes in the S5230/S5233 phones.
