D GPRS/EDGE performance in India is very good.. next to 3g ofcourse.. but neverthe less.. i use FaceBook in my cell,, in its very good.. can c images very clearly.. so just go for it.. is all i can say..
N i downloaded games via gprs.. they're workin fine.. but finding games compatible is a pain.. as dis is a new handset.. n not many sites support dis cel yet...

I purchased this last week in Bangalore. It is a good phone but I started facing a rare problem with this set! In every call , both incoming and outgoing after few secands to few minutes( 15sec- 1/1.5min) the network gets disconnect! I keep hearing their voice but my voice will never get trasmitted. I am finding this deficiency first time in my 12years of mobile usage! I gave the set back, got assurance for a newset. But I am not sure that only this set has this problem?! Whether anybody faced the same problem??

Just happened to come across this site, Glad to see many users like this product. It will have its kinks and quirks as with any other mobile platforms. Hence, your feedback are welcomed and duly noted.
Now, with that said, how's the GPRS/Edge performance in India and Europe? Has anyone wrote any custom Java apps utilizing the accelerometer ?

hey friends... i just can't wait to share this with you... just read on...
i was experiencing lots and lots of problems using the samsung pc studio. messages like "INVALID OLEVERB STRUCTURE" and stuff like that kept showing up and i could'nt transfer any files to the memory card.
and many of the users face a lot of problems using the samsung pc studio...
here's the trick:
1.forget samsung pc studio. uninstall it from the pc.
2.go to settings in main menu of phone. then goto "phone settings". then "pc connections".
3.choose "mass storage".
4.now just connect ur phone to the pc and the phone behaves like a pen-drive. walla!!
it just behaves like a pen drive and the user interface is just like nokia pc studio. so much user friendly!! and no more irritating messages displayed.
u can now transfer any n everything to ur memory card even if it is not supported by the phone.
remember... its a pen-drive now. NJOY!!

no no... like i said in my last post, the phone does not come with pre-loaded stations.
anyway... open the adio. then go to "more" in the options on the lower right corner of the screen, and select "self-tuning"... the rest u'll understand by urself...

ah ok.. so you mean to say even its was the very first tym my phone was open from the factory itself the channels was there already? or you have to access first the radio so that the phone will automatically search for it...

hehe... no how can radio channels come with the phone???
actually wat u have on dis fone is a visual radio service. it means the fone can automatically browse the frequencies of radio stations alongwith their names which makes u think the fone has pre-loaded channels. brilliant feature... but its an old technology by now...
