I had this 'star' around 8 months and i totally loved it, i just changed for a Nokia N97 because was a gift, i was going to buy the Samsung TOCCO (Name in Mexico at least dont know the model) just because i wanted an upgrade to wifi and a better camera. The interface it has is fun, easy to use, the sounds, the touch sensitivity is great! I have long finger nails and a touch mobile is not easy to use, this was! With the proper covers not to damage the 'star'.
The pictures had a good quality, i got it a 4gb flash card so i could storage more pictures, listening to music, the touch keyboard on screen is great even with people with chubby fingers because it has lot of space on each key.
Super customizable! You can change the typography (3 options), the '3 parts' background is amazing (be sure to choose High Definition images for this purpose.
You can download games for it too! Funny games!
There are few things i didnt like, there are not other themes online you can install, the headphones not so cool... very average, you have to buy some real good ones AND COMPATIBLE because the plug in is mini USB... mmm You cant put animated wallpapers ( i was used to this because of previous mobiles that let me i kind of missed this)
Other than that i NEVER had a tech problem with anything! I totally recommend this touch 'star' Tho if you are an Internet addict you should get the Tocco, or the 'wifi' version!

I'm not certain the difference between the S5230 star and the S5233 but I bought a S5233 just over six months ago and the touch screen stopped working yesterday for no reason. Without that function you can't do anything, including dial a number and the digitizer can be expensive to replace.

does someone know how to change the setting for sms? all sms 1st gets stored in the sim card..
this is annoying....
