Benz, 28 Sep 2009I just bought Samsung Star Wifi a couple of days ago and fo... morehave you considered a different phone...the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 for example can view all the documents you listed and has handwriting recognition where it can be saved as written...even drawings can be saved too...this is not just word of mouth info...I owned said phone previously until i decided to get the samsung instead...i do wish i waited a little longer though because i have the normal star without wifi and that is a feature i wud like

I just bought Samsung Star Wifi a couple of days ago and found it generally ok but I have only two comments on it which I found it very disappointing because I consulted this site before I bought. It is clearly written that:
1. Star wifi can view documents e.g. Word, Excell, power point and PDF but to my dismayed, I can only view PDF. Can anyone help me find out how can I view the above documents? Whenever I try viewing docs it says unsupported format or bit rate over. what does this mean?
2. It is also written that it has a hand writing recognition capability but it only rewrites into regular font not the handwriting itself that supposedly can be save. Can we download software for this because I need to sketch drawings in the construction site.
The two features are working very nicely in LG KP500. Please help me in figuring this out because these two features are very important to me in my job. Kindly help me out.
