I once tried using a sun & smart sim thats being used for broadband connections only. It worked and the phone ran properly, except that for SMS/MMS purposes it doesn't. I don't know for a fact if the 3G being absent in star wifi have any part on this, but you can't connect through the internet even if the simcard is for broadband usage only. Same case if you use it like a modem for a PC/Laptop.

Im using this unit, but I cant use my Tattoo sim card with this unit, i've check all of this phone setting but unfortunately it prompts me "sim initializing" but my Globe sim is stil active andI can use it to may tatto kit and to other phone, I tried other network like smart and TM which is powered by Globe but yeah they are working as I inserted to this phone, but my contacts are globe and I'm using globe 7 years from now.. someone can pls help me regarding with this one??? here my number, 09084100804 as this is working to my phone
